NVC and an RFE?

Timeline

HI everyone!! :lol: my application was approved , recieved my NOA2. :dance:NVC hasnt recieved my application yet, its been a little over a week. My doubt is,,once they recieve it, can i still be sent an RFE? does it go through other reviews? :unsure:

03-07-05 Met online.

10-02-05 Met in person for the first time in Mexico. Asked me to be his gf.

11-15-05 He flew back to Buenos Aires.

03-19-06 Met his family in Buenos Aires. Stayed for a month.

01-13-07 Arrived in Argentina. Plan to stay 3 months.

03-12-07 Asked for an extension, will stay 3 more months.

07-07-07 Got engaged! Party!

07-13-07 Im back home in Texas.

07-17-07 Sent I129f application.

07-27-07 NOA 1 received.

10-02-07 2 year anniversary.

12-07-07 Application approved! NOA 2 via email.

12-17-07 NOA 2 Hard copy received.

01-04-08 Received letter from NVC! On its way to Embassy in Buenos Aires!

01-05-08 Shocker!! My fiance receives letter from Embassy with instructions Packet 3!

02-07-08 My fiance dropped off Packet 3 at embassy! waiting...

02-15-08 My fiance receives email -embassy asking if he had his medical exam done( he has) , they will notify him

of interview date later...waiting...

02-29-08 waiting,,,no news yet!! cant take this anymore!!!

03-14-08 After a few emails, received a response, Interview on april 15 at 1 pm.!!! :-)

No, if the service center sent it to the NVC, it means that there were no issues with your petition. The NVC will now forward your case to the embassy.

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

No, if the service center sent it to the NVC, it means that there were no issues with your petition. The NVC will now forward your case to the embassy.

I agree. For K-1, NVC forwards the case to the embassy within a short period of time.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

My case was approved on 12/2/07. I found that it went to NVC on 12/4/07 and it is in administrative processing. I don't know how long that will take. I wonder if they can ask me for more information as well, I assume that they can do whatever they want to do. I hope that it works it's way through their process quickly.

Called USCIS 4/1/2009 told no status change and case not yet reviewed from RFE request.

Received green card: 4/3/2009

Hope your AP is over soon. No one can predict the AP/AR time length.

No RFEs from the NVC, you're good Mely :thumbs: My petition was at the NVC for 5 days before they sent it to the BA embassy

HEYYYY...im in AP at NVC to....dont know how long either...I spoke to a supervisor there..she said that there was a "name hit" on an initial security screening...some say it doesn't take long to clear up..but can also be checking document status...and other issues...any "high risk" case in K1 can also be put into AP. I know of ONE that went as K1 and after a YEAR is STILL in AP at NVC... scarey....but most are resolved I find in a month or less...atleast thats what the average "numbers" are found here on VJ... Good luck ...
