Just quick to see if any December filers got any progress or updates? I called the RFE line today and didn't get any help. But I did manage to get an answer that they are working on August. However, when I ask how did some people filed on a later date managed to get approved already, all I get a silence. No help or no reason at all. Although, I am beginning to think that they have preferential treatments for certain countries. This waiting ####### is annoying and the lack of customer service of USCIS staff is pissing me off!!

I think alot of countries take longer to respond...i.e., my husband is from Jordan and I am thinking our case will take longer based on the fact that its Jordan and everything is handled slow and easy in Jordan....if they are checking on things for him...the replies are probably very late coming! The frustrating thing is thinking about your file being delayed because a request for information is sitting on someone's desk in you or your spouse's country...

If they do discriminate petitions based on countries, then there should be a big litigation against them for unlawful practice. As a US citizen (or a human in that fact) one can not help who we fall in love with and who we choose to be our soul mate. No one in this country is pure American.. Everyone have ancestors from different parts of the world. Even the Native Americans migrated from another continent!

USCIS needs to evaluate their current practice. No one is happy and yet they continue to exist. I'm flustered with how this organization can prevent me from being with my spouse. It is unjust and inhumane! I want everyone that works there to experience how it feels to be away from their love ones for a long period of time and understand the emotional pain we all go through. This should be q requirement!

Hi there, can you explain what is meant by "new start date." Does this mean that you gained nothing by sending in your I130 prior to citizenship. The reason I ask is that I'm in the same boat. I mailed my I130 in July, became a citizen at the end of August, but it seems (by the way things are going) that I should have waited until I was a citizen before mailing in my I130. I didn't upgrade my I130 until November unfortunately because at first I thought that mailing the I129F would be sufficient. It should be obvious right! No, but nothing is obvious from what you seem to be saying.

Anyway, I've called CSC several times now since December using the RFE trick (keep asking the same question about my returned 129F check and innocently asking if it was causing a problem with the I130 which seems to be gathering a lot of dust somewhere) and have been told several times since December that my application is "about to be reviewed." However, nothing has happened. Tow weeks ago I called the general help line to request action, given that my I130 is more than 30 days over due. They said that the date for taking action on that request was May 2. Lets see if anything happens.

Infopass at CSC is not convenient for me since I live in NM. Did you manage to learn anything interesting from that experience.

Hi, please add me to the list as a December filer. Just had an infopass today. Nothing new, was told by a very compassionate lady to "wait". At least she was kind....will take that....will take anything at this point...clutching at straws...

Ninjarocket, I was under the impression that my original I-130 filing date (when I filed as a GC) would be honored. That's what my lawyer had also led me to believe. (She wasn't sure though). However, the infopass very clearly told me that the day I ugraded now becomes my "new" NOA1 date. Yes, so in other words what that means is that the time my I-130 sat at USCIS as a GC was a waste. I don't know if even the infopass lady knew what she was talking about or just said that to me to buy some time. Its all so ambigous. Anyway, the reason they probably did not cash your I-129F check is because that fee is now waived if you filed after the last fee restructure (which I think was in June or July this year) though you should have gotten a NOA1 for the I-129F application filed. You should contact them immediately if you haven't.

In any case, even with a November upgrade, you should be getting your NOA2 soon (by May) since most centers are now processing Sept/Oct dates. But in retrospect you should have upgraded your I-130 the day you became a citizen and not waited. Hang in there - we'll all get through this eventually!

Yes, indeed it has been quiet for December filers!!! I haven't heard a peep either. I think everyone is too distraught with the slowness of the process and not being with their spouse. I for sure have been very frustrated!!

I hope we all hear good news soon... All we can do now is hope and maybe some mighty force out there can help us!!!

and for the 129, i'm hoping that the case will be forwarded to the manila embassy this week so i can schedule the medical... then the interview in may.

this is kinda weird. we're actually workin on two cases....

still, i'm keepin my fingers crossed that by the time we complete the case at the nvc for the 130, i'm still in manila (talk about optimism that i will breeze thru the interview and medical for 129! ha ha ha haha) ....
