I have to say that it was the easiest part of the whole experience. I booked a hotel on the advice of someone from Visa Journey. I wanted something really close within walking distance. Flew in the night before. Got to hotel early enough to be able to walk to embassy and check where the entry was. When arriving there I noticed a sign in the window stating they were not open till eight am. Which was kinda of confusing because my appointment was 7:30. The next morning I walked up to the Embassy,(really it was five minutes away). Got there around 5 mins after 7:00. One person was waiting outside and the entryway door was locked and lights were out. So we walked around the building to check to see if there was another entry. A security guard told us that technically they don't open till eight but there should be someone to let us in at around 7:45 which is kinda weird seeings as the appointment for about five of us by now was for 7:30. Sure enough the lights came on at 7:30. Security officer let's you in and another person by the front door asks to see your paper that proves you have an appointment and your passport. They do a security check. Please make sure not to bring Any electrical devices. Went through airport style security check like the airport. Told to go down the stairs and wait there. We decided to sort through papers in the order of laminated paper given us when we entered the building. And the when they were ready for us to go upstairs we got in the elevator as a group and went to the 19 floor. We sat and wait for them to call our number. We were the second person called up. The people working there were very friendly. The first person asked me to give documents in the order she asked for them. We brought two files of double copies of everything. And put post it notes on each one and labelled them. Very helpful. We had observed one or two people anxiously trying to find their information. Then I got called up for interview. The lady asked me very easy questions. How did you meet, how long have you known each other, what kind of work does he do? What kind of activities do we like to do together, and when was the last time I saw my fiance. We were approved. The whole process from arrival to departure took a little less than hour. All in all a very good experience. | 2022-11-09 | ||
