Hello People...

I have a question regarding my parents tourist visa...

They are visiting me and my family this coming May 2018 and will stay for 6 months.

During their stay we are thinking to fly in Cancun,Mexico for 1 week vacation with them.

Are they gonna have problem in coming back here in US with their US tourist visa?

They will probably will have problems to get back, particularly if they stayed for a while in the US already (like a couple of months).

They can try going somewhere in the US instead. It is going to be safer. I don't see why risk it. There is a lot to do in the US.

If they want to go to Mexico, it might be better that they go before they visit you. Or if they want to do a "beach" thing they could get a on cruise from Miami to the Caribbean early in their stay, like the first month. They should not have problems if they do something like that.

Usually no problems coming back.. but if the intention is to reset the i94, that won't happen.

Also, no guarantees they'll be allotted 6 months.

I would be very careful with those 6 month visits, at one point the POE officer will see a trend and might not allow them IN. If they want to see Mexico, they should go first and then visit you in US. If they stay in US for a couple months and then go to Mexico and then back to US, they might think you guys are trying to buy another 6 months. Just a thought. Keep in mind this is a new immigration era so things might not be as simple as they were before.

It will work until it does not.

On a related issue I was wondering how much their Travel Insurance costs?
