Agreed with Hank. It was a tragic experience when we failed to missed our interview scheduled appointment and arrived at the US EMBASSY Manila at around lunch time.  The Filipino guard was kind enough and verified with the consular officer if they can still accommodate us but of course,  NO.  End result, created new appointment.

Greenbaum,  applicant must be there earlier than the scheduled appointment time to bring together with the needed documents the  SLEC medical envelope I Packet. :)

Their marriage is blessed in many forms including of rewarding them with a beautiful and joyful baby girl named Abigail Exodus Haltom which named perfectly represents their love and life story as a family.

Embassy doesn't want you there TOO early, just on time.  ;)

** STAGGERED APPOINTMENT SYSTEM **

In the embassy's continuing efforts to ensure the highest level of customer service, the Immigrant Visa unit has implemented a new appointment system designed to minimize applicant wait time.

Immigrant Visa interviews will be scheduled at 6:45 am, 7:30 am, 8:15 am and 9:00 am. Embassy personnel will facilitate entry of immigrant visa applicants 15 minutes prior to their respective interview time slot.
All applicants who arrive earlier than 15 minutes before their interview time will be asked to wait outside the Embassy premises.

Some try to predict the traffic, saying some days are worse than others .. but everyday seems crazy to me.

To drive from Taguig to BAI in Quezon City is a 3-4 hr drive, even when we leave early.   And then back again .. so that is an all day adventure.    12 million people in the Cities with a road system that was struggling at 2 million.  ;)

That was a tongue in cheek joke. My experience here has been when someone does ask for help and we give them the answer they seem to want to doubt our answer and ask the question again only to get the same answer or to repeat exactly what we told them with a "?" at the end of their new statement but formed as a question of doubt. I just think it's the nature of the Filipino to always doubt the answer after asking the question. Could never explain it any other way.
