congratulations! My online status didn't even change until AFTER we had received the physical green card in the mail which was about 7 calendar days after we got the text. So, it's not abnormal for the online stuff to not accurately reflect what's going on in real time! Now all you have to do is stalk the mail man for your green card!

The abnormal is I DID NOT receive the Approval letter in the mail. Did you receive the approval letter before the green card?

When did you have your biometrics? For me they attempted to send my card a few weeks after the biometrics but sent it to an old address. That's why I got a letter. And then the card like 2 months later. But I didn't know it was coming until they send a letter telling me they attempted to send the card. I didn't look up my case online back then because I didn't know about it so I don't know if and when the case status changed.

You do realize that an email reaches you faster than a normal letter, right? The letter will come, but there's a reason it's called "snail mail".

Just my thought.. since your email & text notification is on. They probably won't send the approval letter

Wrong, all application comes with approval letter before they send the actual card.

I never got one. Just the text that says "you are approved" then the actual green card 7 days after that.

Just wait and they will send the letter to you. You just got the email and text notification today, it may take 7 days before you got the actual letter of approval.

whether AOS or ROC, approval letter comes first before the actual card unless they changed the process.

Our case could also have been a random fluke too. Our process had went super fast which we thought was odd at the time
