Agree with above, but if I were you I'd also contact the embassy to follow up, politely noting its longer than they had indicated - if nothing else than to reassure yourself that they are still working on the case.

Hello everyone. I did my interview on the 13th April in South Africa and they put me on AP to check my diploma certificate. My question is how long and how is the procedure to check for education.im actually from DRC staying in South Africa. It almost 100 days in AP just to check the education. Plz advise me

Have you called the consulate back to check on progress? I did DV a few years ago (in Johannesburg) but they weren't very proactive in calling me when my AP was sorted, I called to see what was going on and they said my visa had already been issued....so call them.

As for the procedure - it is that the consulate in SA confirms with the one in DRC to check the education meets the requirements and that the diploma is genuine. I would have expected 3 months is plenty of time to have done that.

Yes Susie,I did call them on the 29th of June.the next day they call me to ask about the way ours name was displayed in the ds. We explained via email and the next day again they replied that that the information will reflect as per passport. Since thn I did hear anything from them. I'll send another email tomorrow for the update. But I'm scared that they get angry at me,

Even if they do get irritated it won't affect the visa. It's nearly 3 weeks since you spoke to them, I think a polite follow up email is fine.

This is the reply I got after sending them an email

Thank you for your email.

Some visa cases require additional administrative processing, the completion time for this process cannot be determined. The Consulate is unable to issue a visa if the applicant’s visa application is still pending administrative processing. The consulate is also unable to waive or influence the amount of time that this processing may take. Please be assured that the applicant will be contacted as soon as this process is complete.

Sincerely,
