RENEWING EAD & AP CARD

Hello!

Does anyone know if I need to submit a G-325A for both the I-131 and I-765 when renewing my EAD/AP card? Does anyone have recent experience with how long it will take? Mine expires on 7/30/16 and I am leaving the country on 8/1/16. Kind of freaking out about losing my job and postponing my travel plans. Also what is the "Supplemental page for part 7" for the AP? I don't remember including that in my original application.

Thanks!

If you already have your permanent resident card, then you don't need to renew the EAD/AP card. The permanent resident card trumps both of these and is evidence that you're a legal alien allowed to work in the US and also allows for you to re-enter the US when coming back from abroad.

Yes, your Green Card invalidated the EAD/AP card when it was issued. You have all you need when you got it.

BTW there is no such thing as a temporary permanent resident, its a conditional permanent resident, with the condition your must remove conditions in two years.

It doesn't matter that it is a temporary green card? We can't lift the temporary status until next year. I thought this was the case but then my husbands boss said that if he didn't renew his EAD/AP card he couldn't work past it's expiration date. Sorry to be a pain but just to clarify:

EAD/AP card expires 7/3016

Temporary Green card expires 9/20/17

Travel plans set for 8/1/16

He can let his EAD/AP card expire and he can re-enter with only his green card when we return from his country in August of this year?

So then, people who are renewing their EAD/AP card, it is because it is expiring before they have received their temporary green card? No one talks about that, they just mention that they have to renew it. Ire ally thought that that green card trumped the EAD/AP card but then thought I was mistaken!

Thank you for everyone's responses!!

Yes, a green card is a green card even if it's temporary. Again, a GC trumps the EAD/AP.

A 2-year GC holder has the same privileges as a 10-year GC holder. The only thing the 2-year GC holder has to do is petition to remove conditions.

I have spent my whole morning researching how to renew my EAD/AP card and there was never a mention about that the person needed to do it because they hadn't received their green card yet. If I hadn't asked my question above I would have sent out a huge bundle of papers tomorrow in a mad dash to extend my EAD/AP card which I don't even need.

OMG, thank you everyone!! Now I gotta go add a few years back to my life that I had lost in my panic this morning :)
