My wife just finished the interview

First I have baby born after case completed so, the interview letter was only for my wife but she must go with the baby

Appointment was at 7:30 AM:

The Consular asked her to pay $325 for the baby and she told her also to go office outside and fill another DS230 for the baby. Then She took my wife and baby passports. She was very nice with her and she was joking too

Thanks God

I hope they get the visa quickly

They would get the visa, this a different AP, as soon as the documents are received by a Embassy the fees for the baby and DS260 form, the Embassy would issue the visa. Do not panic, it is over already. All the very best.

Mine says ready with an updated date of July 4th, I was asked to pick up visa on Friday, I do hope it would be issued by then. Good luck to us. Hoping our visa journey ends sooner than we think.

This is same as my case, as i had to submit a new i864 and i hope you know that they need an original copy with original signature, so you will have to fill it up and send it via mail.... Just do it express mail,,,,, congratulations on the baby..... You will be done with it soon

I would definitely say a prayer. I know she has already been approved, think positive, having a baby makes your case stronger. I shall be waiting to congratulate you, just a few hrs from now. Relax and get ready to receive the good news. This is the easiest part of the process.

Is mobile phone allowed to be carried inside the interview hall ? I mean be it switched off I dont mind. The problem is I dont have any relative in the city where my interview is scheduled. So I cannot handover mobile phone to anyone and hotel is not the best place to keep your belongings.

They have mentioned in their website that they dont allow mobile phones, belt or any electronic gadgets inside.

So were you forbidden to carry any of the things ?

In Mumbai consulate they are very strict with their rules because of security concerns. I would suggest you to follow the do & don't mentioned in the document.

They would definitely come back asking for original, affidavit of support form must be original, they can only accept a copy if you had already sent the original, which in this case, this is a new AOS form, Samantha2015 or anyone can please explain further. The earlier you send it across the earlier you get your visas. My apologies for this setback, as soon as you send it the documents, everything would fall in place. Good luck.

I mailed the original form yesterday straight to the US Embassy and they will receive it next week.
