The point is that if a preteen feels that wearing a thong and padded bra is necessary in order to be "sexy", then IMO they've been given the wrong message. The last thing on a girl of that age's mind should be how sexy they are.

Great point.. that's exactly the thing I would be sitting my preteen down and chatting about..

I'd be pulling out teen magazine and talking directly about the messages those magazines are promoting and trying to make my pre-teen think is "normal".. we'd be chatting about what "sexy" is (and isn't).

Hubby had a chat about this last week as we were driving through Yale Campus and noting what the "college kids" were wearing "out"..
