Hello again!

 

I've been away from this forum since a lot of you helped me to go along the process to get the Green Card and now the day for the Citizenship is getting close and I'd like to know any of the topics where I can follow a guide to know how to proceed, when can be started (I've been told I can start the process 6 months earlier of the day of 3 years). So, where do I start?

Hi,

You can file up to 90 days before the 3rd year anniversary of your G/C, not 6 months.

Thanks for confirming, Brian! That's why I wanted to come here to solve my questions. In the meantime, i'll start preparing for the process, at least won't be so complicated like the I-130 was...

It's a lot easier as the form is fairly strait forward, just send in copies of the evidence that they ask for but do get together any additional evidence that you think they might ask for.

I went in to my interview with bank & electric statements, apartment rental agreements 2 passport photos, birth certificates plus other documents & in the end he never asked for them, only my ID & G/C & current passport + my old passports.

3 months not 6

online is faster than the hard copies  (process wise and you can follow up easily and update supporting docs if needed and also can exchange messages directly with the IO that is working on your file) check my last thread so you can have an idea

yes, file online!  filing via paper was a big mistake...

Another vote for online filing -- right before we were going to send off a paper application I found out we could file online. It was ridiculously straightforward.
