I made a service call but they said I'll be contacted in 30-60 days. that's a long time and I have to go back to work soon (I'm a teacher on a summer break)

Any ideas what to do?

I'm trying to look for processing times. Should I look at the National Benefit Center? Or some other place?

I thought that website where you can check your ticket number tells us in which service center it is being processed. (Sorry, I got an EAD last year but I forget about things)

If you have the processing center you can check timings https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Edit: You can request to be expedited due to your job offer in hand

Hello, does this mean expedition is avaliable due to financial loss as indicated by USCIS

Yes, whenever someone has an offer in hand, you can request to be expedited. In @talile 's case this is more pressing because she is a teacher and if she misses the start date she could be without work for the whole academic year (at least in a full-time basis).

how do you think that I can still request expediate EAD with the interview date in a month?

Do you think it is worth giving a try? I get RFIE, which was responded but I get scheduled interview without EAD or AP.
I mean assuming that I have a job offer as well.

Specifically, you think USCIS takes it annoyance, given that I get scheduled with the interview but request expediate EAD?

Thanks again

If your Green Card is approved in a month, then you can work before summer is over. If your EAD was approved today you'd likely have it in 1.5-2 weeks.. that's not a big difference to being approved for the GC.. put in the expedite time and then approval.. your probably at 2-4 weeks anyways.

Thanks for your comment.

I am using F1 OPT EAD card but unfortunately, it is gonna be expired 10 days before the interview. I have talked to my employer about this, and they are willing to rehire me after 10 days, but who knows? Interview does not guarantee green card and even if I get approved on the spot, I can only work AFTER green card is mailed to my address unless IO is very lenient and nice enough to gimme the I-551 stamp, or I dare to ask IO "can you stamp it for me?", which might be reducing the chance of approval .

My employer can give me new offer letter with higher compensation as I am promoted (not officially signed, but my supervisor approved it and HR just needs to send email)

I had an EAD from my f1 OPT and it expired two weeks ago which was fine as my school year ended. I want to go back you work fort the next school year but I'll need my new EAD, this one will be based on AOS so it's not a renewal.

Do you think asking for an expedited process now is going to make this faster for me? It's already been more than 100 days. When I look at the national benefits center they are now working on mid January requests but I'm not sure if my case is actually there.

Yes, I think you need to try to make an inquiry and get it expedited. Did you check the status online?

 https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I thought there it said which center was processing the EAD, but I don't remember.

My honest opinion in this case is it won't make a difference. You are 100+ days. If you try to start an expedite now, the fastest I've seen is about a week and a half, but that was back in the fall. The expedite requests seem to be plenty as of now (I can only assume it's due to the longer waiting time for EAD - which in turn makes the expedite request pile grow as well). With expedites as of late, you should expect it to be longer than this - some don't even get answers in over a month, of course this varies. Your EAD will either be approved in the next 30 days anyways (most are approved in less than 120 days with a few going over at present), or you will be approved for your GC one month from now. No, it's not a guarantee to get a GC approval by having an interview, but unless you have some issues in your case that are out of the ordinary, there should be no issue.

It's ultimately your decision, and many ppl would argue that IF there is even a slight possibility of it going faster than you should go ahead. This is just my opinion and how I would have done were it me.

I don't have an interview in a month. Xhusky added her questions to this thread so it's mixed up.

I am over 100 days and have no interview date. Not sure what to do.
