Hello everyone, 

    My Fiancé had his interview in Kabul, Afghanistan February 2017. They took his documents and passport but handed him a yellow card (221g) for medical documents and AP. They told him they would be in touch. A couple days later I received an email from the consular officer, she wanted to have a phone interview regarding my Fiancé.  Questions were normal..just about us. She told me we would hear from them in 2-3 weeks. It's been over 6 weeks and it still shows AP! I'm so scared he will be denied. Can anyone please help me with this? When I emailed embassy regarding the AP status, they told me theirs nothing they can do as of right now while it's in that status! They will be in touch once everything is done..😢

sadly AP can be days, weeks, months or years, i was put on ap 2 years and it could be more, but i ended the relationship and after 2 years on ap, my ex closed the case 

K1 2017

Aos sent April 2018

Aos interview July 2018

Work permit September2018

Aos approved July 24, 2019.

Roc April 27, 2021

Biometric reused june 28, 2021

N-400 online April 27, 2022 base on 3 years rule, biometric reused.

N-400 interview on December 12, 2022 combo interview i-751. Approved.

January 11, 2023 oath ceremony, Indianapolis. After that done with uscis😂🤭🤫

I took my oath ceremony in Indianapolis, it was a nice ceremony, where people from 35 coutry become american citizen.

01/11/2023 officially done with uscis :)

January 13, 2023 apply for us passport.( regular service).

March 11, 2023 passport in hand

AP is common for Afghanistan, and there's no way to know if the visa will be approved or denied. :(

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

I thought maybe since they took his passport it was a good sign😕
