I signed for DV 3 times but I was not selected, now me and fiancée applied for k1 visa and the interview is in few days, I learned from some applicants that the CO asks about the reasons why they signed for DV before and CO considers that it just an attempt to immigration and also thinks that the relationship is fraud because according to him it is just another way to immigrate to the US.

I signed because we ( me and my fiancée) thought there is no harm, and if i get selected ill be with her sooner, but I don't think its a good idea to say that on the interview.

Our relationship is really genuine and I just don't want to mess up on the interview by saying something that would make it look otherwise.

any advise of what to say on the day of the interview would be much appreciated!

If CO asks, you need to be honest and say yes, you tried DV lottery / this information is in their system and they do know the answer to this question

do not hold back on any quesitons / total sincerity and honesty is what they look for

DV and the K1 have a lot in common.I have seen many posts from those who have tried both.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Many people who go normal routes try DV as well, us included. It's not at all unusual.

Be truthful in your interview. Lying in the interview will make it look like you're hiding something. However you don't need to volunteer any info - if they ask then answer honestly, if they don't ask don't mention it.
