Five protesters were shot late Monday night near the Black Lives Matter encampment at the Fourth Precinct police station in north Minneapolis, according to police.

Those who were shot sustained non-life-threatening injuries, said police spokesman John Elder in a statement.

Miski Noor, a media contact for Black Lives Matter, said “a group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights.”

One of the three counterdemonstrators wore a mask, said Dana Jaehnert, who had been at the protest site since early evening.

When about a dozen protesters attempted to herd the group away from the area, Noor said, they “opened fire on about six protesters,” hitting five of them. Jaehnert said she heard four gunshots.

The shootings occurred at 10:45 p.m. on Morgan Avenue N. about a block north of the precinct station.

Yikes. So sad. But in my opinion, usa needs 43 more shootings before blm gets actual doj pull.

What I'm about to say is controversial.

The white supremacists were utilizing their first amendment rights and assembling in a public area. The blacklivesmatter protesters tried to take that away by herding them away.

I'm not saying the 5 people deserved to be shot, but at the end of the day the blacklivesmatter crossed the line first.

Depends on what went down. If they asked them to leave, there's no crossing of the line. The first amendment allows that. They can say what they want, but the people who shot them, they crossed the line if their lives were not in danger.

The article used the term "herd" so some sort of force was used. Thats not peaceful assembly.

I am sad, there is no news of the paramilitary guard group that was contracted in ferguson this year.

Maybe this minneapolis chapter of blm had no budget for this group? They do a stellar job of protection, once engaged.

Maybe they not like the snow?

Considering the WSG went there armed and their goal is white supremacy, I'm going to guess it wasn't a peaceful assembly on their end as well.

IMO, BLM should have just ignored them. But that's easier said than done.

They went there to shoot some black people, and sadly enough those folks took the bait. Now, they're being blamed for their own shootings.

Janelle, you should know better by now...

From the copy:

"Miski Noor, a media contact for Black Lives Matter, said “a group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights.”

We can therefore conclude this can't be considered terrorism, because:

1 - The shooters were white, and most likely loving Christians.

2 - The shotees were black

3 - No one cried 'god is great' during the shooting

4 - No Muslims were involved

It can only be considered terrorism if any of the alleged perpetrators can be linked to Islam.

This is a typical case of black people asking to be shot, and frightened white people standing their ground, lovingly so.

Can you feel the love?

Yep, and no sympathy for the victims.

We didn't, but since there's been a Muslim turn up in here lately, I was going to wait for the hate to die down since black victims don't receive sympathy here on a normal basis, even more so when Muslims are the topic of discussion.
