MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Police responded Friday to a high school north of Seattle following reports of a shooting.

Local television stations said two people were being airlifted to a hospital.

Live video showed students being evacuated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Marysville, near Everett.

Ayn Dietrich, an FBI spokesperson in Seattle, said the agency had personnel on their way to the scene to help authorities with the investigation.

The latest school shooting in the region happened at Seattle Pacific University, where a gunman killed one student and wounded two others on June 5.

About 30 minutes from me, it feels different being geographically close. A fourth child is on the way to the hospital.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

A fourth! I saw only 2 so far. This is just getting scarier and scarier for kids.

Marysville is a bit too close to home for me as well. It is pathetic that this type of thing is indeed all too common.

Yes and they keep safeties off and pointed at the kids at all times.

Seriously though, what kind of a question is that? It would NOT have done anything except perhaps change the suicide to the shooter possibly getting killed before being able to shoot himself.

Honestly! Gun nuts be flippin' crazy.

It appears the kid was mad over some girl that didn't like him. Why are these young boys growing up thinking they are entitled to have a particular girl?

Sad deal and I see no end to these shootings/killings. It is the nature of the times we live in. As soon as one of these incidents happen....it is all over the news. The more it gets covered the more other kids want to do the same thing. Granted it is a very small segment of kids who are disturbed enough to do this....but the copycat syndrome is not going to end. You can be sure some kid right now is watching the news and thinking.....thats what I am going to do.

If the news did not cover these shootings....the number of future shooting would go down by at least 50%...if not more. But, that's not a realistic solution.

Personally I think this sort of thing would be solved by having everyone who wants to own a gun have to pass a mandatory test, wherein after all the background checks etc have been passed they have to then bend over a table a play a round of Russian roulette with a revolver pointed at their ringpiece.

Everyone should have to experience the fear of almost being shot. A good final test.
