EMBASSY VISIT TO WAEL !!!

Today Wael had a person from the embassy come to his home!! Ask his father and uncle if they knew me...how long I had been there...was our marriage authorized...

I am just so happy to know at least SOMEONE knows we have a case and perhaps now it won't take long for him to have his visa.

Of course I had to laugh as I have my ticket to Egypt in a month .

I think this is Murphy's Law, but I am truly so excited to know that finally someone has done something. I think I am on cloud 9 and just beaming with so much excitment. Have a great day everyone!!

A person came to my fiances house about a month and a half back. My fiance nor his faimly were home. A neighbor asked if he could help the man and the man said he had a letter for my fiance/ The neighbor said he could give it to him but the man said no. He did not ask the neighbor any questions except wether he indeed lived there.

The neighbor told my fiance that the car he was driving had diplomatic plates. We have heard nothing since this visit nor has he returned. I find it hard to know what to make of these visits. But like you said at least you know they have looked at your case.

If this is something new that Egypt is doing, I wonder if this might be what other MENA Consulates are going to start doing? I would assume that Egypt's caseload is greater than that of Morocco. Don't know, though. Just making a guess.

I know that's why I'm worrying about the address. The only reason we haven't changed it is because no one in the new neighborhood really knows them yet and everyone in the old neighborhood does. UGH. I'm just certain things will be lost if we change it but then if someone is going to come checking then obviously they should have the correct addy. Technically he still pays for both appts though so he could have two addys. Could this get anymore confusing??

No......it's not confusing at all.......many people have more than one flat.......if his family goes to the other flat to get water/gas/electricity bills, clean, etc......then he should be ok cuz it's not like they completely abandoned the place.

If, however, he never goes to the old apartment anymore, then perhaps you should let the embassy know of the new address cuz when they send him a letter through the DHL to send in his passport they are going to need to hand it to him directly and I don't think you want ANY time being wasted with DHL trying to track him down at a flat he doesn't frequent much.......though sometimes if they are unsure of addresses, the DHL people call first before sending out the mail messenger.

reason he gave : he wanted to make sure that my parents know about my marriage

THE FUNNY THING : my dad was one of the two witnesses on my marriage certificate !!!

and while they have the original of every single paper so i believe if somebody ever looked at the documents that they have, they would of seen that my dad was there , and sure he knew and authorized our marriage .

and immediately this question jumped into my mind , what was easier to do ( taking the trip to alex OR taking a look at my docoments )

and the answer is so clear which is sending this poor guy all the way long from Cairo to Alex is much easier for them then taking a look at any of the documents that they have .. aren't they working so hard !!!
