RFE for Okcupid question

Hello Guys,

Well, we have started to see some of the couples who have applied for the K1 Visa and met online through Okcupid is facing a dilemma that USCIC considers this website an international broker website. Okcupid is a free online dating site. Upon that there is a payment for extra features such as A-list.

In the case of USCIC (RFE), what could be more evidence that it isn't an international marriage broker website? Something more then the terms & conditions of website, Wikipedia or even screen shots of our pages at Okcupid.

Also when submitting the K1 Visa application the first time, do you think we should include this information in our application packet so we can prevent any delay in the process by possibly getting an RFE?

People have sent the terms & conditions, Wikipedia description, and screen shots of their pages, and satisfied the adjudicator who sent the RFE. Perhaps this is more of a formality on their end -- i.e., having something to mark off their checklist -- than a genuine need for proof.

You can surely try to include the information initially.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Okay great. Thank you!!

My Fiance and I also met on okcupid. We havent received the NO2 And im worrying that we might get an RFE because of that website ? And I agree with u, its a free online dating and not for International Marriage Broker! What I am worrying is... My okcupid account has been deleted as well as my fiance okc acct. when we both exclusively dating, we both decided to not just deactivate it but DELETED it so there is no way we can access out accts again and respond to anyone who tried to communicate to us. But my friend who applied for CR1, they did not question or get any RFE, they also met on okcupid. Im getting confused and worrying now ??

September 26, 2016 - EAD and AP Approval Notice Hardcopies Received by Mailbox
October 5, 2016 - EAD case changed to CARD WAS MAILED
October 11, 2016 - Combo Card (EAD/AP) status changed to CARD WAS DELIVERED TO YOU BY THE POST OFFICE
October 11, 2016 - Combo Card received :) when I checked our mailbox at 4pm
October 12, 2016 - Went to SS Office and changed my name to married name
**No Interview for I485 :dancing::idea::dancing:
November 17, 2016 - Green Card status APPROVED and in the afternoon it changed to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED :dancing:
November 23, 2016 - Card was mailed to me

Right now, you're worrying about straw dogs. If you get an RFE, follow the advice in post #2.

We havnt even filed yet but are already worried about the stray dogs lol. We emailed Okcupid and had them send us an email stating that they are not a international marriage broker and verifying that the only paid service is for extra features so we can submit with application. It took about a month for them to email back. Just incase you get an RFE maybe u shld email them now so you have it ready to go along along with submitting the terms and condition that's on the site. The more evidence the better just in case. I dont think they will hold it against you that you deleted your profile either as most people that have a fiance would.
