I'd appreciate any guidance on whether I should move my file to Dallas.

I filed for my AOS (married a US citizen in 2012, but we lived outside the US. I've only been here since Feb 2015, I'm changing from a VWP). I filed in AL in May 2015 but live in Dallas now. The address I used is my in-laws so I can still receive my mail.

Having read this thread, I wonder if I should change my address to Dallas and potentially adding more delay to my case. I've had a couple of RFE's so I haven't even received my EAD yet. (I'm getting jealous and a bit depressed about my progress...)

Thanks.

Apologies for bumping my own post, but I'd appreciate some input on this.

The only update is that my EAD is now approved with the card in the mail...

Thanks.

Maybe you should start a new thread and pose the question? You'll probably get better results as a broader audience can chime in.

Well we received the NPIW in the mail yesterday. So I guess the wait begins :clock:. At least we are seeing some progress on our case.

Hi guys just wanna update y'all on my case. I had my AOS interview yesterday at 8:30am. We went in early and some Hispanic io officer came to lobby and got us. He walked to us to his office and introduced himself and informed us that another office will be present during our interview and to my suprise soon as we gave him all our documents, he asked my wife to go with him and few minutes later he got back and started interviewing me for about a good ole 45 minutes and then he walked me to the lobby and went on to interview my wife and at the end he didn't ask me for no additional info. All he said was we will receive a decision in the mail. So I wanted to know does it mean that we were denied cuz I'm so confused and nervous

And also did anyone experience anything similar to my case.

I couldn't sleep all night so worried

Hey Davidchrome, would you mind sharing your timeline or what date you filed for the AOS? Why did they separate you two? Maybe they found something suspicious?

I hear separation comes only when there is suspicion.. Just pray, hopefully everything will be alright.. Please also share your timeline.. When did you send your package? Goodluck in advance.

This is scary since I never heard any couple separated in Dallas office.

I've submitted a request and they said if I don't hear anything for 90 days; I should call back.

I think Dallas is gunning for the maximum wait time..

This is really sad and frustrating..

If this makes you feel any better, my timeline is probably pretty similar to yours, and stuck in "waiting for an interview letter" limbo:

Filing Date: 11/20/2014

Biometrics completed: Mid December 2014

Some IOs just want to make you sweat.. some are just plain ol dicks. What was the I.O.s name? I had a Spanish guy reject my case once (my dad filed for my sister and I when he became a permanent resident) I think it was rejected because I was 18 at the time and had "aged out".

There may be nothing wrong at all, as long as you both kept your cool and gave the same/ "right" answers you'll be fine.
