Its so fun when you have to wait so long, then get a no answer from customer disservice. Glad you at least got an answer. My wife will ask me to call for her, then an hour later will ask why I'm on the phone. :bonk::lol:

Its your time to relax now!

BTW no luck yet! checked with wifey.. nothing in mail so far :reading:

ROLFMAO

If you have time to be on hold for at least 2 hours, call USCIS today or tomorrow. Talk to a human. Tell them you want to talk to Tier 2 people.

Keep in mind there are few people there who don't like to transfer your call to Tier 2. In that chase hang up. Call them again and ask for tier 2.

If you get to talk to Tier 2, ask them is there any case number for you and when is your Bio Appointment since you didn't get your Bio letter yet.

Let us know what's the outcome & Good Luck!!!

@ Nevin- I totally agree with Peterandrobin. You should call. I will suggest call today, make a service request from tier 1 people then ask for tier 2 department.Ask your case # from them.I don't think you will ever going to get your Bio letter. I'm assuming those who (Adjust their Status in USA) already did fingerprint here so USCIS already had their fingerprint in the system. That is the reason you are not getting your Bio letter. On the other hand, those who immigrated from another country had to do Bio since they didn't do their Bio in states.

Note: I noticed you and peterandrobin both did Adjust of Status. So you both should fall in the same category of no Bio required.

My wife adjusted status in the USA, went through the biometrics here, and still had to bio for ROC. I had heard, a bio is only good for one year. I can understand the photo part, but why the fingerprints to? They did take my wife's finger prints again, which is why I joke they're verifying I didn't swap her out for another.

I find that interesting to, and have no idea why they do not need the bio. Unless for some reason its less than a year old, or maybe someone just screwed up.

maybe someone actually got a brain and realized it doesn't make a lot of sense to take a new photograph and fingerprints just two years later?

It is definitely worth calling, before you get to talk the the Tier 2 person ask if you can put in a service request, that will request that they look into why you have not heard anything.

I spoke to a Tier 2 and thought she was telling me that they had received my Biometrics and that they were still valid (it was a bad line so I had difficulty hearing her), I received an email from USCIS this morning as a result of the service request and it sates that my Biometrics are still valid and have been accepted, so I do not need to go to have them done.

the same thing happened to us as well! We sent ROC package @ April 8, got our NOA about two weeks after. However, even now we still haven't got the biometric letter ...

We called in yesterday, made a service request with tier 1, and then asked to transfer to tier 2 which took about 1 hr waiting! A guy finally picked up, but he was so aggressive and not helpful for me! He just told me that they did not schedule appointment for my husband yet (without telling us the reason. )He asked some questions like, have you moved? Demand us to answer only yes or no! No other words or questions can be asked until I said no to his question. I felt so stressful when talking to him. Finally he told us to wait for the letter come, he said it is too early for us to get the biometric done now. He wanted us to call back if we did not receive the letter at the end of the month first, and then he said.....no no no call back after June 15 if you still not get it! I was like so confused and got pissed somehow after holding like an hour of getting nothing from that officer!

Later at night, I got a reply from my service request saying that my husband's biometric info is still current, that is why he does not need to have them done again. That is much helpful than that tier 2 officer words! I got confused though, how come the fingerprint is still valid now? He got it done when he was adjusting his status for conditional green card. It is almost two years from now. I am so confused!!!!!!!!(@_@)

Well! i think i'll have my wife call USCIS.

I wasn't aware of these scenarios where people adjusting their status in USA do get exempted from BIometrics.

-----Adjustment of Status for both Parents-----------------------------------------------

the same thing happened to us as well!

Some of the USCIS employees are so rude. I can understand your frustration about after waiting on hold for so long you got a negative reply/rudeness. Don't listen to them about calling on June 15. Try calling them today once again. Who knows you might get lucky today and get to talk to a nice person. Ask your case # from tier 2 people. Don't loose hope and don't listen to those rude people. Good Luck!!
