Hi! No, you do not have to mail in the notification of application readiness. You will get the letter from the consulate (Packet 3 as it is referred to on VJ) and then you fill book an interview online (after paying the fee for the interview and filing the DS-160).

Hi everyone,

We have scheduled our interview for the 28th although we have not received our packet 3 checklist yet. On the interview confirmation page it says to bring the letter from the consulate, which I am assuming is the packet 3 checklist. Can anyone tell me if the embassy collected the p3 checklist when you had your interview? We have all the required info, DS-160, payment confirmation, etc. and we probably will receive the packet before our interview (our status changed to ready on May 7) but I just want to double check if this is a mandatory document for the interview.

Thanks :)

L'endroit ouvre a 8h45.

Hi everyone!

I am wondering if someone can tell me what "appointment letter" they ask for when they call you up the first time at the interview. We booked our appointment without receiving our physical P3 (our ceac status says ready) and I am getting worried that we need the physical letter now! Can anyone confirm if we do or do not need this? We have all other papers/ confirmations with us. Our interview is Thursday so I'm getting a little nervous!!

Thank you!!

Hi,

I want to just reinforce the question that Laureb has asked a few times, and that no one has yet answered!

Did the Paris Consulate send you anything from Packet 3 that you needed to take to the interview? Any papers that they send in the mail!

Thank you!
