I-129f is approved, NVC is sending petition to manila embassy. They say 5 business days. So, what happens now? Should I send the affidavit of support to fiancée now ahead of time? We are new to this and doing it all ourselves. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Congrats! Just got our NOA2 today! From what I've gathered send as much as possible to your fiance/e now, and then more as needed. I brought all my info to my fiancee in December, but I forgot it in a trike. I was so mad at myself. . . .couple months later, an honest trike driver brought it back to her address! Whodathunkit!?

I think you should get as much done as soon as possible, but there are more experienced VJ'rs here. Good luck!

CONGRATS! I am still to call NVC for my MNL Case number :P I'm posting several links below as what was given to me by other VJ members. Hope this helps :)

First get your MNL case number from NVC

Schedule your interview

Send all the documents like the I-134 Affidavit of support to your fiance/e and a copy of your I129F including the original receipts and documents. Don't forget the new letter of intent. Here is my checklist on what you can send to your fiance/e in PI granted you were not married before if so please refer to the VJ guides:

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package.

2. All originals of the documentary proof that has been submitted for the I-129F.

3. New letter of intent to marry. Signed and dated.

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Signed.

Two to three of your most recent pay stubs

Signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time, part time, permanent, temporary) of your position

other evidence:

Banking information and other assets as required by the I-134

5. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

6. Proof of ongoing relationship.

LONG but very comprehensive version of what you can do while waiting for your packet to arrive in USEM (Manila Embassy)

Manila Embassy:

NOW THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MNL # (don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

(NOTE: When getting NSO certified copies of your Birth Certificate get a few extra copies for bringing to the States with you. You will need them from time to time)

http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3023.html

Once you have your MNL # :

You can pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee with cash or debit card at any Bank of Philippine Islands. Before going to the bank, you must print the applicable U.S. visa application deposit slip available below on this page. Take the printed deposit slip with you to pay your fee. If you print a deposit slip in advance of the day in which you plan to make your payment, please take note of the expiration date on the deposit slip. If the expiration date passes prior to using the slip to make your payment, simply return to this site and re-click the appropriate link below to generate a new deposit slip. Bank agents will NOT accept payments based on expired deposit slips. Upon receiving of your payment, bank will issue you a receipt. Save your receipt. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your receipt number.

http://ustraveldocs....paymentinfo.asp

Select the deposit slip that matches your visa application fee from the list below. Values are shown in U.S. dollars and native currency. This page has more information about the different visa application fees.

http://ustraveldocs....visafeeinfo.asp

For K-1 the fee is $240

After you have paid the visa application fee, keep the BANK receipt for your records. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your receipt number.

If you have an account with either Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) or BancNet you may choose to pay your visa application fee online using their online bill pay services. Click on either of the links below if you are a BPI or BancNet customer and wish to make an online payment.

If you are paying for more than one applicant, please DO NOT make a lump sum payment for all the applicants. A UID/receipt number is required for each visa application fee payment for EACH applicant for scheduling an appointment. After you have paid the visa application fee, please keep the fee receipt for your records.

Receipt Format

Note: If you have a Bank of Philippine Islands receipt, your fee receipt number should be your passport number. If something other than your passport number appears in the circled area on the graphic, use that information as your receipt number. This receipt number verifies your payment and allows you to schedule your visa interview

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to use the receipt number as shown on the payment receipt from BPI.

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was received. You will not find the priority date entered on the NOA2, you will only find it on the email/letter from NVC when you get your MNL #.

Make sure to print three copies of the interview confirmation letter/page (if you scheduled online) as you will need two for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

(open all of these links then save them to your bookmarks so you have them for easy access)

Thanks for this information you have posted here, it's really helpful.

I have a question though, let's say you got the MNL# from NVC. Do we have to wait for the NVC forwarded our case to US Embassy in Manila before we can pay for the Visa Application, schedule for interview and take the medical exam.

Nope! That's the beauty in it. You don't have to wait. You can schedule the interview and take the medical preferably a week or 10 days before your scheduled interview :)

Since you already have the MNL case number it means that they have forwarded your case to the Manila embassy. They will just be waiting for your interview scheduling ^_^ You have to schedule the interview and pay before you can go to medical ok? :) Medical does not need scheduling and is a first come first serve basis. However, you can fill out the info sheet found on the SLEC site before going to the medical to facilitate your medical. I have a link posted above. ^_^

Then how come when I called NVC and asked them if they have forwarded my case to manila embassy they told me that it still in administrative processing (don't know what that mean). I just hope that they have a centralized system.

Ok...I just called NVC and asked them since I have a Manila Case Number, is it okay for my Fiancee to pay for the Visa Application Fee in Manila and she said that she cannot because the case still with them and it still need some additional processing.

That's kind of weird because if you think about it like anyone with proper logic can figure out that the reason why they can assign a Manila case number is because the case is ready to be forwarded to Manila. They should have not released the case number to you until the process over. However, given the current situation that she is telling you not to pay then don't pay but do call them again the chance you get and ask them if you can pay and schedule the interview. Hope things go well :)

Hope things go well smile.png

I called the US emabassy in manila and they told me that it's okay to make the payment but they don't advice it until they received the physical document from NVC.

You can wait for that but most people here in VJ don't wait for the document because that usually comes in a month or so and scheduling your interview would also come around a month after you apply so that's 2 months total. It is your choice though as it is advised only by the USEM and because as you said it is still on the process. The wait isn't that difficult. Let's just hope medical and other things go smoothly and without delays after this :)
