You might want to post this in the off-topic forum.

I think that is great you met someone and fell in love. There are some here who do not think it is possible to fall in love with someone in a short time, but given the distances, you have to deal with the time you have. Life is short too.

In the end it should not matter how you found your happiness, only that you did.

Aimee and I met in yahoo chat on July 7, 2004. We did nothing but write a few emails back and forth the first couple months, then started chatting regularly. The more we chatted, the closer we became. Before either of us knew what happened, we were in love. We spend most of 2005 reading about visas and immigration and planning for her move here. Even though we cam and voice chatted most the time, when I saw her for the first time in Dec 2005, I fell in love all over again. She still sets my heart on fire! (L)(F)

our story is kinda like a mushy movie scene.. we met online, exchanged emails, talked everyday, fell inlove... enter the mushy movie scene >>> i was at the airport, waiting for a guy i have never seen in person, we decided to meet by the bathroom at the right wing of the arrival area(cuz that's the only place in the i'm familiar with:lol:) i was standing there when a guard asked me to go, he said i wasn't allowed in there:( so i went in the bathroom and asked a maintenance lady if i can hide there because i'm about to meet the love of my life for the first time and we're supposed to meet here, that if he doesn't find me, he'll think i dissed him. she seemed thrilled to hear my story and before i knew it, she was telling the story to almost everybody there! :content: one of the guards she told the story to offered to pick him up for me!!! :P then there he was, being escorted by two security guards, all handsome, smiling at me. my heart felt like jumping out of my chest:D

Mike and I met in a game, Sims Online.... The rest is history... We met in person a little over a year later at LA Airport, where he flew up to meet me when I came over. He wasn't at arrivals when I finally showed up, my plane got stuck on the tarmac for two and a half hours before initial takeoff, they forgot to refuel!

Luckily Mike thought to check before he left for his flight so he knew I would be late at least. Not knowing I had to run through Seoul Airport to make sure I got out of there that night, after missing my first connection. I looked around for him and decided to stay put and was in the process of thinking that he had chickened out and what was I going to do? Then next minute a hand came down from behind me with a red rose in it and it is placed on my suitcase. (F) I hear this voice in my ear, "You looking for me Lady"" and looked up into the most adorable brown eyes and the knew right there and then and he was 'it'. Although I was pretty sure before I travelled half way around the world to meet. We spent two wonderful months together in his homestate, Kentucky. It felt like I was coming home not coming to visit.

Two years down the track we are hoping to be married in real life not just in the game...

So far, so good.... (L)

Keith and I met in Japan. We both came here to teach english on the JET programme. We met briefly in Tokyo (where I distinctly remember thinking--ooooo, cute Irish guy...) :luv: We didn`t hit it off until a year later in Kobe for a JET conference. We realized we only lived an hour away from each other and just started hanging out every weekend...which turned into every day. (L)

I met him at a cousin's wedding in Dublin 2003'(it was my first time there).

I caught the bouquet that night as well :P Funny thing was I had a mad crush on Colin Farrell at the time, only to find out my "soon to be boyfriend" was an actor as well. After a few days with him I didn't even rememeber who Colin Farrell was
