This is concerning e-filing.

I just received my NVC case number and my Invoice Identification Number when do I pay the AOS and IV Application fee online?

I attempted to pay today and instead it gave me this notices "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the NVC at this time. Please click on the Contact...if you believe that you have received this message in error."

My NVC case number was issue just last Friday the 18 of February. Am I correct in assuming that the NVC is not yet ready for me to pay them.

My embassy is in GUZ so e-filing is possible there. Also I will be submitting my OPTIN for electronic filing tonight.

Could it be that I have not opt in e-file yet, I thought it didn't matter if I did or not for paying fee?

Reply will be helpful. Maybe I'm jump to quick at this...

It can take a day or two for the fees to appear and for you to be able to log in. Just keep checking, you should be able to log in soon and pay fees once they're available.

Sending the optin email won't affect you being able to pay fees or not.

Please read: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing It might be of some help for you.

if you just got the AOS fee bill via email, then somethings wonky, as the online portal is ready for you.

IF all you have is the IIN, then maybe NVC ain't ready for you yet.

have a longish read?

NVC EP - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

DJ Walker - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/251451-uscis-nvc/

OPT IN and pay AOS fee bill online are parallel processes.

Suggest you wait until you get GZO # to pay the IV fee bill AND NOT EMAIL ANYTHING IN (past the OPT IN EMAIL)

until you have a GZO #.

Saylin is expert in Canadien EP, I am expert in GUZ IV EP - the processes are not similar after OPTING IN. Canadiens have extra hoops that are painful, that GUZ filers not jump through.

If you get stuck, post a question here -> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/277547-nvc-electronic-processing-october-2010/

What's the purpose of calling the NVC live operator and telling them the petitioner and the beneficiary email. It's the OPTIN e-file the same thing? Because it ask for the body email on the e-file opt in for email and birthday etc.

By giving your email addresses to an operator, you'll receive all packages by email instead of snail mail. Much faster. OPTIN is not the same thing as giving the email addresses to an operator.

This is stupid but, how or what would I say to the Operator. "Here is my email, so NVC can send me the next package." Like that or do I have to say something before hand so she/he understand why I am giving my email over the phone?

Side Note:

I was able to log in and pay my AOS fee of $88bucks, and just sent my OPTIN too, and now waiting for my IV fee to pop up.

Just tell the operator you'd like to give the email addresses of the beneficiary and petitioner. Then they'll ask you to spell it for each one and that's it.

that initial email intake, over the phone with NVC,

is ONE of TWO 'let's start the casefile' things with NVC.

Other is to wait for the postal letter to be sent out.

MANY PEOPLE never, ever, want to wait on that postal mail - it takes about 2 to 3 months to show up.

that 'initial contact' with NVC is important, as it 'jumpstarts' the AOS FEE BILL generation.

but - that works the same for any NVC entrant, not only EP.

ALSO, online payment portal is NOT a part of EP, at all.

YOU BENEFIT from using it in that things can go fast, when you use it.

Fast is good.

you could read the DJ Walker post - it's a longish tome, a dialog between him/he and me.

We covered every fricken variance on the planet, for NVC EP for GUZ IV.
