Please can someone inform how can I apply for expedit for may husband.

My husband had a accident almost 3 months ago, he burned his eyes and now his is blind on his right eye.

He came to Miami as "medical parole" had a surgery here and was seeing a doctor here, but when he went to renew his parole for the second time, the officer denied because he said my husband was good to see a doctor in Italy. He even didn't question my husband health condition, even took a look on all the paper the was sent by my husband'doctor. He just denied.

So now he is in Italy by himself and in needing of my help.

I found about the expedite here on VJ and I'd to know how to do that.

P.S. I received NOA 1 on 01/07/2011

Thank you very much!

I am so sorry for your situation. I assume you are the USC?!?!? If you are, one thing you'll probably need is evidence that you have medical insurance for your husband if he intends to come to the US while still needing medical care

Good luck

Thank you very much for your reply

Yes, I'm USC

The company he works for is paying for his medical bill, he had this accident on his job.

Will they continue to pay his medical bills if he is in the US?

You should have his doctor write a letter and state his condition and how bad it is. My husband got an expedite based on medical issues too.it has to be bad enough that someone has to care for him or need medical attention all the time. Good luck

I also suggest that you list why he cannot receive treatment in Italy, why he must come to the US

Good luck

I suggest insurance proof, to show that he won't become a public charge. Even if he has his medical bills paid for (and show evidence of this as well) they will likely ask for it so have it prepared so you don't waste time

Good luck

The ones I have seen are for where the USC has a medical condition.
