Thought it might be good to have a place to go to see what everyone is doing....we are still waiting for our case to get back to USCIS. Keep getting told to go get married...told by senator's office that CSC is supposed to review the case if it arrives unexpired. Feels like being pulled in both directions. How is everyone else doing???

Malika :)

Sorry. Wasn't laughing at you. I still call anyway too. And I still get excited if they even 'touch' my old application. Sometimes the slightest hint that I might have new news gives me the best day. Lately....I have just been very happy living vicariously through the approvals of other people in Casa. LOL. I think I understand how you feel.

thinking about trying to put together a chart together so we can all keep track of where everyone is...any ideas of what i should include would be get. To Start with:

When you met:

How many & how long visits before filing the 1st petition:

If you started with K1 or CR1:

1st petition interview date:

Date returned to USCIS for review, specify if for AP review or refusal (denial) review

What you have done since (i.e. waiting, refile K1, marry & CR1)

Specify when u refiled K1, or got married & filed CR1 (date for each)

If filed 2nd petition, how long after case returned to USCIS

Specify where u r in the process for 2nd petition

Any other ideas...let me know

Malika :)

I think it is good to know

1. when you were informed the case was being returned

2. when the case was returned

3. when the case reached the NVC

4. When the case reached USCIS

5. How long before USCIS sent the NOID or NOIR

6. Did they request additional evidence

7. How much time did they give you to submit the evidence

8. How long after the evidence was submitted before you got a reaffirmed or denial

9. How long before you received a new inteview date

10. Did you have to have an interview or did they just issue the visa

11. Did you receive AP the second time around

12 How long before the visa was issue from the 2nd interview date time.

These are some of the questions that I could think of...to help with a timeline of expectations.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Some people seem to go through this process in less than a year and others seem to take a really long time. It is hard to tell because there is no specific place to really post this information.

We had our first petition returned to California 2 years ago. California is very consistent about declaring the petition expired after the 120 days. We were interviewed in Aug , the petition was returned in Nov. and it sat until the second petition was filed. Both of these were K1's and the second was approved no real issues.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

To track a returned petition/application with a pouch number, you can contact the Diplomatic Pouch Service in Washington:

•Diplomatic Pouch Service: 202-663-1588

I just called & the guy was really nice :) Still hasn't arrived in their system yet though....atleast it gives me someone else to annoy

Looks like so far we have:

(4) 1st petition K1.......(2) Married & CR1, (1) Refile K1, (1) Waiting

(1) 1st Petition CR1....waiting 10 mths (is that right illnevergetthis??)

Still trying to get the spreadsheet working...hopefully soon so we can get better details for everyone
