Hi guys! My fiance in Manila is doing her medical tomorrow. Last night she have trace of blood and signs of menstruation. She is irregular that's why it was unexpected. We really planned April 12 for her medical, because we are already set for an April 26 for interview. Is it possible that she can do some part of medical? Or she can't really do anything for medical as long as the menstruation is present? Please help!

She will need to disrobe and have an examination of her private parts during the physical.

Obviously, if she got her period, she will need to wait until it's over.

Some members have said that she can do all but the physical part of the exam. It would probably be better if she didnt have when going though. That way they will do the whole medical. I would wait a couple of days and definately dont go on a monday. I hear it is way busy on mondays.

I have read somewhere here that one can still go to medical even with period. However, it will only be some part of the examination and she will be asked to come back to finish the rest of the examinations after her period. My thoughts are these: since your fiancee is already in Manila, it won't hurt if she goes to St. Luke's and try. If she will not be accommodated, let her attend CFO instead while waiting.

By the way, I will also have my medical tomorrow (with two others who are also VJ members) and my interview on the 26th. It would be nice to meet your fiancee... :)

My fiancée is near the end of her period but isn't sure if it will be completely finished on her 1st day of medical. She wants to just go she thinks she won't have a problem. We already got our plane ticket by PAL. I'm not sure how easy it is to change PAL tickets but I'm concerned if she goes maybe they tell her you need to come back then she's having hotel costs until whatever time her period finishes.

When I had my medical, I have my period that day. I did some part of the medical, even the urine test, but not the part where the physician will do a physical check up on me. So they let me come back after my period. So yea, your fiance will be fine and do some part of the medical

i have the unfortunate experience of having my menstruation start on the day of my medical exam because i am irregular too. but they let me proceed to do the othe steps like blood tests, x-ray, vaccine screening and other stuff. the only thing they didn't make me do was the physical exam where you have to disrobe for the doctor. they told me to go back for it after my period is done. so she can go for the medical exam and she would just have to tell them at a certain step that she has her period and they would tell her where to go next and they would just put a remark on her paper that the only step she hasn't went through is the physical exam.

hi sorry if this is kind of a late reply. Anyway, I had my period right before my medical like your fiancee. So I had to do some parts of the medical. They will tell her to go back after the period and then you can continue.

how long does it take to get the results after you had the physical exam? and did you bring other documents on your second visit?

Those post were from 2010. I believe now it doesnt matter if you have your period. That's what we were told anyways. Jean has her medical on Monday and she just started hers so we will know for sure then.

Did her menstruation started before she go to slec or after her tests? I hope so that they will not tell me to go back after my period and just proceed to the exam..I can't find recent forum discussing about this topic..
