MR_S_P, I'm sorry if I'm being rude by asking you this, but could you share your ideas of why it took little longer?

My process is taking longer than other December filers and I'm desperate for any answers.

I think my documents were pretty solid and not sure why it is taking so long.

Just looked at your timeline and saw that you filed in Dec so just hang in there. I filed in Oct and just got approved few days ago. I know how you feel but there's nothing we can do but wait.

I'm not sure why mine took longer...

Perhaps because I received NOAs from both California, then Vermont, but it was adjudicated in Kansas City? Kansas City is where the approval letter came from... I suspect, what with the K2s that I brought with me, that the files may have got split up and when I called the 1-800 line, they looked for them and found them.

Perhaps they randomly pick applications and do a "deep dive" on them (like a deeper investigation)?

I do suspect that if I had not phoned the 1-800 number, it may have taken longer for it to get adjudicated...

Not much help, I know...

Removal of Condition INTERVIEW: I will tell you what not to do as I was the U.S. Citizen! Our interview was in Kansas City, at 10 AM. We arrived 9:45 AM, there were signs every where except for go here for "INTERVIEW". We tried the electronic sign in which was malfunctioning, next went to the next available window, where a person took our names as I told him that we were here for an Interview..."be seated and someone will be with you." after thirty minutes of waiting, the person at the window told us to go to the back of the room and put in our appointment letter in the box with the sign: "Took him 30 minutes to tell us that we were in the wrong location of one room about 40 yards long.

When the Interviewer seen our letter (UPSET would be putting it mildly), we were chewed out for being late as she was on a schedule with different appointments. (Strike #1). Both of us were asked to take an oath. Next, my driver's license was worn/ could not read my last name, so my identification was questionable, but Officer was kind enough to accept my Sam's Card with a picture on it - my fault. (Foul Ball or Strike #2) My wife did not have/ lost her official letter extending her Provisional Green Card, where the Officer chewed her out as she could be deported if she was stopped without any proof of being a lawful resident. (Fowl Ball or Strike #2) Officer was not pleased that my wife chose not to have a joint bank account or financial ties to the marriage other than Tax Returns: We did not think to bring the 2009 Tax Returns filed after our application - my fault. (Fowl Ball or Strike #2). Then, we were separated as my wife was removed from the room and I was questioned alone. This meant to me that I could be in a hostile INTERVIEW. [NOTE: This means answer the questions truthful and short as possible and do not go into details as this leads to more questions.] The one question that I remember: the interview advised me that we had two children: were the children mine? My reply was of course...But how do you know for sure retorted the examiner? Well, my wife does not drive, works at a local bakery, and goes to college, so there is little chance of dating without my knowledge. Why did we not have joint bank accounts? My wife likes to support her family overseas and does like like to know all the details as I really did not care. Rest of questions were just going over what we submitted in the applications. Over all the Officer was kind, polite but stern in her position with a sense of humor. She understood why were were late and wondered what was the problem with the other officers there. I left the INTERVIEW thinking that my part has slide by without any harsh results from my part as the Officer was just neutral in the Interview at this time.

Next, my wife was brought to the interview room without me, she was asked if she had a relationship before, during and after our marriage. Her answer was no, she was a virgin on marriage. For some reason unknown to me, my wife told the Interview that she had been writing another man without my knowledge after coming to the United States, but this man had no interest in her. My wife's belief was that she had two children and the US-CIS could not denied her change of condition for any reason or deported without criminal offense. (Strike or what???) This made me wonder on the way home who was the man, what/why was she writing him and the purpose.

The Officer advised my wife that she would make a determination based on the evident and would receive a ruling on the Removal of Condition. Nothing positive or nothing negative. Based on baseball rules, looks bad to me. Fowl balls does not strike one out but after so many fowl balls, one better hit a home run or he could be in trouble.

IF you have an INTERVIEW, BRING:

Letter of appointment for the Interview

Letter from US-CIS extending your spouse's Provisional Green Card

Make sure that you have good I.D. cards (preferable Two )

Arrive early enough to search the entire complex: Kansas City was in the very back with a tiny sign.

Be humble and not think you are beyond removal, your future is in the hands of the Interviewer.

Do not make any admissions unless you are specifically asked a question.

Question:

1. Wife's extension expires in November, if no decision is made by November, will the US-CIS send another extension or will the US-CIS, place our application in a fast pace to render a decision before November?

2. What is the waiting time on results from an Interview?

I have heard if approved, it is usually in a month. But, do not know if there is investigation.

3. Anyone care to tender our chances of prevailing?

File on or about October 2009

Interview date was July 22, 2010

No reply or any response for 3 weeks

So, what exactry officer said when you finished interview? "We'll let you know if decision made" or something?

Not so many interview experience posted in ROC forum and we really don't know normal waiting time from interview to getting result. As you said, within 1 month?

I just had an epiphany!!!

I am going to quit my current Engineering job and apply for an office supplier company that supplies to VSC.

When I receive an order from them, I am going to send them NOA! It will say something like this:

Dear Officer:

We have received your pencil order. We are eagerly working on providing you with the best service. You should expect your pencil to arrive within 6 -12 months. You will soon receive another letter requesting your "biometrics". This process is important since we have extremely high standards and we want to make sure that the pencil will fit exactly your hand, we don't want to see it break while you are working.

Sincerely,

Shipping & Receiving Department

Office Supplier Company

Then, I will keep them waiting until we receive a phone call from one of their officers. This is what I imagine the conversation will be like:

officer: We requested a pencil a year ago and we haven't heard anything yet.

me: Let me take a look at your order. Yes, I see your order....... Oh, there is no information we can provide you except that we received your request and it is going to be processed in the order it was received.

officer:We need this pencil to write with and get on with our lives.

me:There is nothing I can provide you with at the moment. You can schedule an infopass appointment with one of our warehouses.

officer: What?

me:Yes, you can go there and get a garantee in your financial documents that your money is not wasted and your waiting is deeply sympathized with.

Now the officer will go get a stamp in their finance books saying that they have an additional year of guarantee that the pencil will arive.

Then, I will send them a letter (RFE) after a few more months:

Dear Officer,

This letter is to inform you that we do not have enough information and we would like to request the same information you gave us when you placed the order and we will also be sending you another biometrics appointment since our carpenter did not get a good reading and therefore could not cut the pencil properly. In addition, we could not determine if you are placing this order with the intention of taking the pencil home or really as an office requirement. You have 30 days to comply with this request or your order will be considered abandoned and we will close your account with our company. Your money will not be refunded. If you feel that this is not fair, then you can use one of our online forms and apply for reconsideration with the fee of $1000 to reopen your order.

Once I receive this information, I will send them another letter saying that we received their new info and it will be only a few more months before we complete their order.

Then, 6 months pass and I finally approve their order.

The letter will be as such:

Dear officer:

I have great news. Your order has been approved and we have forwarded your order to the proper department. Please allow 6 months to receive your pencil. Please feel free to contact us (if you haven't retired yet) after 6 months if you have not received your order.

OMG!!! This is awesome!! :rofl::rofl::rofl:
