I am currently in the United States under a valid K3 Visa Status. The place of my port of entry to the United States last May 03, 2008 was in Detroit, Michigan. My husband, _________, and I, _________, are filing an I-485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE concurrently filing I-765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

Enclosed please find form I-485, Application to Adjust Status together with its supporting documents, and form I-765 with its own separate copies of supporting documents.

May 02, 2008 - visa in hand, had the CFO stamping done at once, bought ticket online...

May 03, 2008 - flew to US to be with stinky love...

July 22, 2008 - Sent AOS Package to CHICAGO Lockbox

July 24, 2008 - received package

July 29, 2008 - NOA for AOS and EAD

Aug 01, 2008 - Touched....

Oct 01, 2008 - Received EAD

still waiting on AOS

I didn't loook at your list but I did notice something else:

Remember, AOS is something YOU are sending in. Your husband/wife isn't sending in a petition like the K-1 petition. I don't think you need to have 2 signatures.

And I don't believe Petitioner and Beneficiary are correct terms to use anymore.

is AOS cover letter really needed?? :unsure:

I didn't include one. My application went through ok, with timely NOAs.

I suspect they don't even look at the cover letters. They already know whats being sent to the lockbox.

I would say cover letters are an optional formality, but not a necessity.

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

11/10/2008 -- EAD card received in the mail! wOOt wOOt!!!!

11/12/2008 -- SSN ordered from Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in mail!

11/28/2008 -- SSN Received in the mail, wOOt!!!!!!!!

12/7/2008 -- INTERVIEW LETTER RECEIVED!!! It's scheduled February 19, 2009 at 8:30am in Newark. *nerves*

2/19/2009 -- Interview 8:30am - Green Card verbally approved

2/23/2009 -- Welcome letter received! followed by I-130 approval notice!

A short two-paragraph cover letter will suffice. No one at USCIS has time to read all this....they simply go straight to the required forms and other documents and digitize them.

hi!.. i was looking thru the site and i saw ur posts. i entered the US with K3 visa and K4 visa for my daughter. i would want to know if you also have a K4 beneficiary?Coz Im having a hard time regarding my daughter's papers. i don't know where to file her documents? i already have an approved I 130 petition. do i have to file a I130 petition for my daughter also? coz my husband didn't file her a petition for I130 before. hope you'll help me with this. thanks!
