Ny husband came in to POE at about 8:30pm. Oddly there was a wait. He actually was going to miss his connecting flight but alhamdullilah his connecting flight was delayed. The officer was very kind. He only asked my husband to confirm his name, the address he was going to, confirmed he was coming on the spousal visa. I think there was a long wait because it was shift change for the immigration officers. My husband said there were no other people waiting. The officer was kind enough to walk my husband to the airport shuttle afterwards because my husband was not sure where to go. |

I was in line for the passport check for an hour. When it was finally my turn, the officer asked me what the purpose of my trip was. After I said immigration, she took my passport and put it in a box and locked it.
I was told to head over to some officers, who led me into a hallway and told me to follow the red line on the floor all the way to the end.
At the end, there was another desk where they took out my passport and told me to sit and wait for my name to be called.
I had to wait for about half an hour before they called me up. They asked me what my address is going to be, and what the best way to contact me is. After this I was allowed to leave.
All in all, it wasn't difficult, just took a long time. |
