My son's green card showed approved on the same day as mine but his green card never came. On 5/24/19 we opened a case with the USCIS Service Center via phone. After receiving no response, we called again on 6/3/19 to submit another case. The following week we received an email response saying that it had not been printed yet and that they would follow up with the California Center. On 7/17/19 we still had not received the card and we called the USCIS Service Center and requested to speak to an upper-level officer. Within a few days, we received an email stating that they had inadvertently approved my son's green card and he now needed biometrics even though he is under 13. We went to our local biometrics office the next day and just walked in. We received the card on 8/29/19. |

The USCIS is probably severely backed up so I received a 6 month extension on my I-751 NOA on top of the 1 year extension that USCIS grants. |

Had a "your card is on the way letter" arrive via USPS on 3/22, card arrived USPS priority 3/23, and a letter about the case being reviewed came in on 3/25. I think what had happened is they misclicked something when they made an update from "your case has been approved" and "a new card has been issued" - i received a notification in the app that it went from "we're reopening your case" to "a new card has been approved" within 20 minutes. so don't get too discouraged if that happens to you! |
