This time we carried an abundance of evidence including about 300 printed pages of chats sampled from 3 years (17,000 pages) worth, as well as printed evidence of continuous ongoing financial support (many Xoom transfers per month), evidence of cash on hand, bank and investment accounts, a stack of about 300 pictures from our visits with each other over the years, and even a secondary Affidavit of Support from a friend. It is critical to have your story straight and be able to talk and share information clearly about your relationship to the visa officer. This time our visa was approved without any issues. Good Luck! | 2022-03-15 | |||

There was a lot of people inside the embassy. Agent only asked 5 questions. 1. Where does your husband live? 2. Where does your husband's parents live? 3. Why is your husband living by himself and not with his parents? (Agent said it's not common for Indian kids and parents to live separately) 4. What does your husband do for living? 5. What does your husband's parents do for living? Only documents they asked for was PCC, birth certificate, marriage certificate and passport. They didn't ask for pictures, wedding album, financial documents or any other documents. The interview part only took 5 minutes. Had to wait 40 minutes before they called for interview. My wife asked for the interview to be in our native language and she said there where only 7 people waiting. Very quick and easy process. Not as complicated we thought it would be. | 2021-04-24 |
