Comments : After our K-1 visa was refused (administrative processing 221g) in 2019, we got married (civil ceremony) and returned a year and a half later. This time we carried an abundance of evidence including about 300 printed pages of chats sampled from 3 years (17,000 pages) worth, as well as printed evidence of continuous ongoing financial support (many Xoom transfers per month), evidence of cash on hand, bank and investment accounts, a stack of about 300 pictures from our visits with each other over the years, and even a secondary Affidavit of Support from a friend. It is critical to have your story straight and be able to talk and share information clearly about your relationship to the visa officer. This time our visa was approved without any issues. Good Luck!

It's now over 90 days since USCIS approved our I-130 and sent our app to NVC. NVC repeatedly states they have not received it yet. USCIS has twice confirmed theyve sent it March 24th.

Did you expedite? Or normal processing?

Normal processing. The wait from July to Feb since NVC said case complete was quite tough.

What is your experience today

What questions they asked
blank avatar Markdshark on 2021-03-18 said:
Questions are different for each applicant and from each different visa officer. They are all based on your application and relationship, personal questions about your family and relationship and ability to support etc. Where did you meet, how long have you been together, when did you last see them, what do your other family members think of your relationship, what does your spouse do, etc etc. If you answer earnestly and with as much honest relevant detail as you can, you will do well.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
