Our IO was cordial and professional throughout. We happened to be his last interview for the day. He asked some very specific questions. It lasted about 30 minutes but I imagine it would have taken half that time if my wife didn't need an interpreter which we decided to bring along one of our friends. He then concluded the interview with an approval stamp in front of us and said that the green card should arrive in the mail in about three weeks. This was amazingly surprising for once in how fast all of this came to pass and how smooth it all was. | 2021-10-27 | ||||

Tried a parking meter and got 20 minutes for 6 quarters. Moved to the lot across the street from USCIS and paid the 20 bucks. There is a free Riteaid parking lot nearby but unsure about monitoring. Walked around then entered at 11:00AM. Standard airport style security to gain access. Was directed upstairs to wait outside Room 3. Was called at 12:10 by Duane. He checked ID and passports , swore us in and asked each of us to verifiy our application names and current address. Asked to see original marriage certificate. Asked her all the security questions again. Asked if we had additional evidence of relationship and we gave bank and utility bill statements, three letters of recommedation, and copies of proof of beneficienary on will, saving and investment accounts. He also took 6 out of 30 photos taken since arrival. That was it. Said he will approve and we should get green card in two weeks. Short and sweet. Took about 20 minutes. | 2024-03-08 |
