We arrived at 1:15 P.M. our appointment was at 2:00 P.M. The waiting area was packed. The lady told us to come back at 1:30 P.M. to check in. Once checked in we went to the third floor which was a fairly large waiting area and it wasn't packed at all. We waited a while though probably about 45 minutes. Our officer was a very friendly middle aged gentleman. He only asked us a few questions like do you have children, if we were married before and for how long, what day did you get married, what we each did for a living, asking about dates my husband came to visit before we got married, etc. The only documents he asked to see was our original marriage certificate, our driver's licenses, and my husband's passport. He then just reasked all the yes or no questions on the petition. I even asked if he wanted to see anything else. He entertained me by looking at a couple of wedding pictures haha. I asked if he needed to see my husband's pay stubs. He said nope, I know he's working if you guys just bought a house. He said he was approving my husband and his greencard would be mailed to him shortly. He then made a copy of our marriage certificate and licenses. He shook our hands and told us to have a nice day. I was nervous because that's my personality but it was so relaxed and easy going. | 2024-01-19

To hear the Officer say I have made a decision to approve your "Green Card" words aren't enough because it's been a journey for sure. She even told us she see us being together forever and the love we have for each. We are so thankful because she seemed to be a bit stern at first but as the interview went on the Officer smiled and laughed as we answered the questions. It was more of a conversation about ourselves than an interview for most of the interview. We were told he will receive his card in 2-3 weeks. God has been good to us for sure! | 2019-04-13

We discussed things about the wedding and also she asked me the same security questions written on the i-485. She requested the documents that we wanted to present to prove the relationship, I handed: Bank states of our joint account, joint filed taxes form 1040, copy of our cars insurances, pictures to prove the relationship, marriage certificate, birth certificates for both of us, copy of our drivers licenses, copy of my i-94. After that she approved us! I'm really happy | 2024-03-22 |
