All in all it was a very simple process.

They asked for my passport and DS-160 confirmation page (with my photo and barcode) at security. Then I had to do a quick security check, similar to an airport. Then went through with a big group of people who's interviews were at a similar time to mine. This whole process took about 25 minutes and was mostly just waiting in lines.

After all the sercurity had been done we were directed up to the 1st floor by a lift, then I went to a different desk as most other people were there for short term visas. At the next desk they asked for my passport, my DS-160 page, my proof of support (i-134), and my ACRO police certificate. Once these had been gathered together they gave back everything except the I-134 which they kept, and asked me to take a seat and wait for the number they gave me to be called. I was probably waiting for another 10-15 minutes when my number was called. I went up to another booth with a very nice lad... read complete review

I spent days worrying about the interview, the final hurdle to the process but it couldn't have been easier. The staff at the embassy were great and very helpful, from sitting down I was out within about 40mins. Initially i saw a british officer who took all my paperwork and fingerprints, I then waited about another 15mins to see a US officer who was very nice, asked me a few simple questions and approved our visa!

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My Fiance had no problems finding this building with ease. He went through security and then was asked if he was a non immigrant visa and since he was they bumped him up the line. He said his waiting wasn't that long at all. The man at the first window took our papers and asked my Fiance how he meet me. My Fiance explained it was on a PS4 game and that made the man smile. He asked what game and my fiance told him and then they had a brief chat about the game. Then he wanted for his number to be called and it didn't take long at all. He was interviewed by a nice enough guy and was asked a few questions. 1.) How did you meet 2.) Has my fiance met my son 3.) What date did my previous marriage end 4.) What my fiance does for a living 5.) If my fiance has seen much of America and if so where has he visited 6) asked him some questions regarding a state tax lean (Thanks ex hubby). That was that. He said we were approved and he should have his visa in hand in a few weeks. CEAC says issued as o... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My interview was Feb 4th at 9.30am

It really was the easier & quickest part of the entire process.
I arrived at the embassy at 9.05am and they let me straight through to the first floor after putting a sticker on my DS form & passing security.

When I got to the section of immigrant visas my number was already on the screen so I walked up to a polish gentlemen (he told me he was from polsand as we were speaking) he asked for marriage license, birth cert & police certificates, 1 photo & passport.
Asked me 2or3 very simple questions and told me to take a seat & wait for 2nd window.
Didn’t even wait 5min and walked up to a American lady asking me:
- what’s your petitioners name?
- where did you meet?
- when did you last see him?
- where is he now?
- have you been married before?
- ever been arrested?
It took like 5min and I was sent off with a blue slip as medical didn’t... read complete review
