So this review is probably nothing new but if I can help even just one person feel more relaxed then this will be all worth it.
My interview was on Monday 25th February 2019. I'm from Scotland, so I got up at 3am to catch my 6am flight to London Stansted, I then had to go on a train and then underground to get to the embassy. I arrived at the embassy at around 9am, however my interview wasn't until 11:30 so I just went around the corner and sat in the Waitrose for a couple hours. I was pretty much as nervous and anxious as it gets!! I had an accordion folder filled with everything I could possibly think they might ask for (Just in case). Eventually it got to 11:00 and I made my way back to the embassy to start getting in the queue outside. A friendly security officer asked when my appointment was and informed me I could make my way through the airport style security and through into the embassy. Once in the embassy they check your DS-160 and put a sticker on it and your passport with your number and then you are directed to use the elevators up to the first floor and just follow it all the way round to the left. My number was already up on the screen when I got to the first floor, so I went straight up to the window and handed over my passport, 1 passport photo,,birth certificate, DS-160, affidavit of support + employment letter and that was it. I took my seat once again and then about 45 minutes later a very stern professional lady asked me about 3 questions about my fiance. (How did you meet? How long have you been together, how many visits) and then she stamped my folder with an A and told me I had been approved and I could expect an email regarding receiving my visa in 7-10 business days. My visa was issued after 4 business days and I picked it up 1 week and a day after my interview. All in all I was super anxious and nervous for nothing because the whole interview process was very simple. I wish everyone else who is still waiting the best of luck with the rest of the process. Now I can finally start planning for the exciting times ahead. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
