I'm writing this on my fiances behalf, since he was the one who had the interview:
"The very first relief is that you can't miss the embassy. When you turn into its area, it's very clearly marked where you have to go. When I got to the security, there was a pretty big line waiting outside and I was a bit unsure what to do here. I decided I had enough time to be patient and I think that was the right call. For this first queue you just need your DS-160 confirmation and your passport ready. The bloke scanned it and looked at my passport and then told me, as I was a K1, to bypass the queue at the front desk of the main building. First I had to go through a simple airport security thing, very straightforward. Then you go through another outside area, with very clear signs directing you to the main building. There was a big queue coming right out the doors and the only way through for me was a sign marked for US citizens, so I was a bit daunted going through there and dodging... read complete review

Honestly, I don't think we could have had a better experience. I, the petitioner, went with my husband to attend his interview. His interview was scheduled for 9:30 AM and we arrived at 9. We were out by 10:30 with approval!
All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, we joined a queue and a woman took my husband's interview letter and made a note that I was attending with him. We went through airport-style security where everyone was helpful and not at all intimidating. We were told to skip the line inside the next building because of our status (IR-1) but we didn't quite understand so we got a little lost at first, but ended up joining the line and then getting called up to the admin desk by my husband's name (this was no problem--they just wanted to make sure he got in in time for his interview and we had been stuck in the line with the non-immigrant visa applicants).
We were given a ticket number and directed to the farthest left booths o... read complete review

Thought I would write my review whilst fresh in my mind, as I had my K1 Visa interview at the London US embassy this morning, hopefully it might be of some handy information/help for others as the VJ pages have helped me greatly.
I live in Kent, so I travelled up to London by train the night before and stayed overnight at a decent budget hotel (Belgrave Hotel), which was very near to Oval tube station and reasonable at £39 for 1 night, single room. I caught an Uber to the embassy and it was £7.00, approximately 10mins by car.
Embassy was very easy to find, easy to spot the main entry point from all the people gathered outside. There is a desk and a couple of officers around, I gave them my DS160, they registered my attendance and said to go through the security at approximately 10:10 (my appointment was at 10:30, and I arrived at about 9:50). He also advised once through the security check to skip the queue at the next entrance and go straight to the... read complete review

The building was very easy to find, everything was explained well. Waited in line for security, and then afterwards headed towards the main building where we bypassed the line and took and elevator up to the next floor. We went straight to the window with our number and handed in our documents. Marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport, courier information. He was very polite and just asked when I wanted to travel. He then told us to have a seat and await the interview.
Waited about 45 minutes and then got called to the window, this man was more stern and strict, sighed every 2 seconds, didn’t seem like he was having a very good day. He asked a few questions, where do you plan on staying, when do you plan on leaving? And then he asked about an incident on the police certificate that said under investigation and wanted to know an update on it.
He said everything looked good, he would be happy to approve the visa but he first wanted the incid... read complete review
