My interview was scheduled 24th April 2.15pm. I arrived 30 minutes early but good lord, I forgot to bring my original passport. xD I called my family, asking my brother to cab down with my passport. I then went to the guardhouse, they will ask if you have big electronic items, which you shouldn't have. My belongings and I went through security scanners. Here's the thing, ladies, I read a review that said metal bra wiring would set off the alarm. I wore a wired bra, I went through fine. The security guards confiscate my phone and earphones and gave me a small disc with a number -- to be returned to them after the visit to claim my phone.
I walked up a looooong pathway to the main entrance door, which has to be one of the heaviest door I've ever had to pull. A guard waits behind this door and he hand-checks my belongings while I go through another security scanner. He checks my interview appointment letter(printed Gmail) and tells me to go to the first room on my left. The... read complete review

We got a 221g with time to submit 3 missing documents.
We are older and had a few more decades to account for so our visa journey was longer than most couples.
Her experience was definitely positive as she felt encouraged to continue. The entire process is tough. Full of peaks and valleys emotion-wise. We have been involved for 3-4 years so our proof of relationship was solid.
Interview certainly could have gone far worse so we feel good about it.
Our main problem is PRC's reliance on Hukow/Family Register to control people's movement. It seems this is a common issue for citizens of PRC not residing in China and is not really an insurmountable problem if people really want it and your case is strong in other areas.
I thank everyone who helped us along the way here on VJ and urge everyone to vote this November.

I am really worried, since I received the letter from NVC (Dec 14, 2014) with assigned Case Number for K1 Visa. However until this date February 2,2018, my fiancée have not heard from US Embassy in Singapore. As per NO2 validity date it will expire by March 1, 2018. We learned that she will be recieving notice from the embassy with instruction on how should she go forward for medical and interview. I’d been calling NVC from time to time but unable to get positive update, while my fiancée is Singapore had been writing and calling the Embassy and was told that they have not receive the case yet and they cannot entertain such inqueries over the phone.
Would appreciate if anyone can share their experiences on this.

My interview was scheduled for 17 Jan 2018 at 9.30am. I arrived at about 9.05am and approached the guard. He asked me what type of visa I was interviewing for. As I was there for an immigrant visa, I was asked to join the shorter queue just in front of the entrance, as opposed to queueing at the covered waiting area. At the security checkpoint, they checked my appointment letter and my bag and took my electronic devices including earphones and ibanking tokens. I was given a disc with a number, which I would need to collect my items later.
I then proceeded up and went to another security checkpoint where my bag and appointment letter were checked again. I was then told to go to the first room on the left. Upon entering, I was asked what I was here for. For immigrant visa, I got a queue ticket and a list to tell me how to arrange my documents. I was told my number would be called. Non-immigrant visa interviews were also conducted in this room so it could be confusing for ... read complete review
