*EXPERIENCE DURING COVID TIMES

I was informed about my interview (set by the embassy itself) via email a week before and had not done my medical report yet. It's a really complicated times as the clinic had canceled my previous appointment due to MCO in KL and Selangor area. I immediately contacted the clinic again to have my appointment done a day before my interview and try to get permission to go to KL (am from Ipoh) and thank god, it was a breeze. But I had to come on a later date after to collect my report and receive my vaccinations. Hence, my medical report is not done yet during my interview but was advised to keep going still.

I had my interview at 9AM and arrived around 8.40 as I stayed at DoubleTree Hilton a day before my interview. When I arrived, there are no lines outside and I was instructed swiftly into the building (leaving my phone and IC card at the post). I was also given a number and I was the third person to get interviewed. The wai... read complete review

Was there for 1 hour. People were very nice.
Interview lasted about 5 minutes, it was relaxed and conversational
Tell me about your fiancé...
Where in the United States does she live?
What do you love about her?
Have you met her parents?
What is her address?
Has she visited you?
How many time has she visited?
He then asked to see photos...
Then said congratulations and good luck to you and your fiancé

Appointment was set at 10am.
No line outside the embassy as routine consular services are unavailable due to COVID-19.

IC/Driving license surrendered in the registration guard house to collect electronic devices after interview.
Security check done twice before being led to the room.

There was only one counter pre-checking documents, arranged it according to the email sent by embassy to ease the process.

Interview was done in another counter, oath taken before interview started. Some questions that I remembered:
1) How did you meet?
2) How many times did your fiance visit you?
3) How many times did you visit your fiance?
4) Where does he live?
5) What does he works as?
6) What are your wedding plans?
7) When will you be entering the states?

Interview took less than 10 mins.

(Medical Exam in KL, Malaysia)
As it’s the only panel clinic in Malaysia and CMCO period, it’s difficult to get through to make an appointment. My best advice is to call them between 8am - 9am. I’d suggest you to get your embassy interview date first and the clinic will do their best to squeeze you in. This is also beneficial for you because the medical report is valid 6 months from the date of your check up (NOT when you receive the results/NOT when your Visa is approved).

Before you go, do prepare:
- Copy of the US Embassy Interview Confirmation
- 4 2x2 photos (US Visa sized photos)
- Passport
- Copy of your vaccination record (if you have)
- Have your US address and Malaysia address ready (to fill up form later)
- RM 900 (CASH ONLY)

My appointment was at 8am 4 November 2020. I arrived 30 minutes earlier and was lucky to get a parking spot outside the building. I was their first pat... read complete review
