(Medical Exam in KL, Malaysia)
As it’s the only panel clinic in Malaysia and CMCO period, it’s difficult to get through to make an appointment. My best advice is to call them between 8am - 9am. I’d suggest you to get your embassy interview date first and the clinic will do their best to squeeze you in. This is also beneficial for you because the medical report is valid 6 months from the date of your check up (NOT when you receive the results/NOT when your Visa is approved).

Before you go, do prepare:
- Copy of the US Embassy Interview Confirmation
- 4 2x2 photos (US Visa sized photos)
- Passport
- Copy of your vaccination record (if you have)
- Have your US address and Malaysia address ready (to fill up form later)
- RM 900 (CASH ONLY)

My appointment was at 8am 4 November 2020. I arrived 30 minutes earlier and was lucky to get a parking spot outside the building. I was their first patient and they w... read complete review

Interview was held in the midst of COVID-19.
I was lucky my interview date was a day before new restrictions started again so I’m not sure if the embassy is still scheduling interviews right now.
Was informed not to arrive early due to covid and to keep distance.
Arrived 5 min before my time and there was no line as the only person before me entered the moment I arrive.

Everyone was friendly and things moved really fast.

Went in and was called to the counter where an officer checked my documents and did fingerprints and given the brochures on domestic violence to read.

Then after that about 15min wait for my turn.
During my turn the officer was friendly and asked
How we met, when did we decide to get married, dates of wedding/ marriage, who attended it, describe the marriage. And looked at the wedding album I brought.
Asked about where I planned to live at, and asked about in laws.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

This experience was for me IR-1/CR-1 VISA for immediate relative of US citizen in the Kuala Lumpur KL US Embassy in January 2020.

I received the notice from NVC side that my case has been approved and submitted to the KL Embassy. It took roughly 3 weeks for them to send the interview date out, and it is scheduled for a month out. As soon as I received the date for my interview, I scheduled my medical and prepared my documents for the interview.

My interview was the first appointment time for the day at 8AM. I arrived at 730AM, and there was just a couple ahead of me in line. The embassy isn't open yet, so I wait outside in the heat when they finally open the counter a little past 8AM. No electronics was allowed in, so I kept my phone, powerbank and keys in their locker. When inside, they have a checklist ready for the documents you need (had to get rid of the one I created), and you need to arrange the documents in order before they give you a counter tic... read complete review

It went very quickly and easily. We printed out a lot of photos and chats, but they didn't ask for any of them. Even the Affidavit of Support was overdone (included a co-sponser which they didn't even want to look at)

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My appointment was for 1pm, the security guard said he could let me in after 12:30pm. After checking in my electronics at the security room and going into the consulate area, I was given a checklist by the staff and asked to take out the required documents from my folder and organize it according to the sequence given. Some of the items on the checklist were not on the online checklist; so I'll list down the items here if it can be of any help to anyone. After arranging my documents I was given a number and asked to wait. A few minutes later I was called to the counter and gave all my documents. The lady at the counter was courteous, and returned all the photostat copies of documents and only took the originals, as she said all the documents were already in the CEAC and they just had to verify them with the originals.
She also returned one of the photos and only took one. After that she told me to wait for my number to be called.

About 20 minutes later my number... read complete review
