My overall experience was great.
My son and i had a 9am appt. because i didnt want to stand outside and wait long i got there 10mins to 9am. Paid for parking in one of the plazas and made our way across the road to join a very short long. As is the norm the security officer belted out all the things we should not take inside with us, not even a pen, be warned!
Our confirmation page was checked and picture affixed to it. We then move to the security check point, we removed our watch, belt, and eveything from our pocket and put in the bin for scanning. we then walked through the scanner. All was well so we were told to remove our stuff from the bins and put on back our belts on the outside. Then, joined a next line in the court yard for confirmation page to be logged and we were issued a number and told to go in on the inside and sit to the far right.
We sat for about 10-15mins before we were called to the 1st window. The man on the outside of the window asked me... read complete review

Though there were pretty interesting times after we received our IL which had us scheduled two weeks from that date and 26 days after DQ, I'd like to focus on the day.
You start out having to get there early, we arrived at 6:30 am for our 7:15 am appointment and there are normally people there who will help park your vehicle for a fee or you may charter a cab/taxi. After that general check in; interview letter, passport pics (they only asked for 2 but their consulate pages says 4) passport and appointment confirmation page. Don't bring with you liquids (you can buy something to drink inside) lip balms, lipstick, smartwatches, phones, flash drives or any thing electronic. After the security check you will be directed to check in at the front desk and when we got there we were sent straight in to sit-down.
At first you observe as the COs get ready (if you're early) and they begin first with biometrics and collecting your passport and original documents (they... read complete review

Headed to the Embassy by taxi about 550am for a 7 am appointment, reached the Embassy at about 615 am
Stood in a crowd directly across the street from the embassy were they call all those for a certain appointment time
Got in line and making sure I had everything in our binder...I forgot my passport and could not go in with my husband for the interview( I was so upset with myself)
FYI, when they call you for your appointment time they line you up and give you clear instructions on what is allowed and not allowed in the embassy, so make sure you have what you need for the interview and nothing else extra, I have seen people being told to go and get rid of things (whether its throwing it away in the trash cans located outside the embassy to having the people that will hold your things for money.
Anyway after about 9 am husband came out and got a taxi to come home and he didn't tell me anything until we got home(he play too much)
but he said th... read complete review
