My overall experience was great.
My son and i had a 9am appt. because i didnt want to stand outside and wait long i got there 10mins to 9am. Paid for parking in one of the plazas and made our way across the road to join a very short long. As is the norm the security officer belted out all the things we should not take inside with us, not even a pen, be warned!
Our confirmation page was checked and picture affixed to it. We then move to the security check point, we removed our watch, belt, and eveything from our pocket and put in the bin for scanning. we then walked through the scanner. All was well so we were told to remove our stuff from the bins and put on back our belts on the outside. Then, joined a next line in the court yard for confirmation page to be logged and we were issued a number and told to go in on the inside and sit to the far right.
We sat for about 10-15mins before we were called to the 1st window. The man on the outside of the window asked me for my birth certificate aslo for my son, my former husbands death certificate. he also asked for the affidavit of support, W2s for the last 3 years and tax transcripts for the last 2 years. we then went back to sit. The wait was long but my son, my fiance and i chat and the time slowly went by. The CO called us about 12:20pm. She asked my son his age and he told her. She then asked me to swear in for bout of us seeing that he is under age. She did not ask him any more questions. She was fairly pleasant and only asked us questions about the relataionship. Before she started asking the questions she told usthat she cancel our existing visas and she did. these are the ones i remembered not in any particular order.
How long have you know your fiance
When did the relationship started
When did you first met
where did you go on the first visit
Where did your fiance stayed for how long
How often does he visit
How long does he stay when he visits
Have you ever visited him and for how long
Are you engaged
Who proposed
She then asked for my former husbands death certificate, no impediment letter, the police record (which she ask me to). she then asked us to bear with her while she check to make sure she have everything covered. she then gave me back all the originals for birth, marriage and death certificate. She then says i think i have everything i need and you are APPROVED!! congratulations. She says you will get the visas within 1-2 weeks. we said thanks and left. its was about 12:35 or 12:40pm.

My advice to all go prepared (i did) you never know what they will ask you for. Answer truthfully and to your best recollection, look the CO in the eyes and be confident.

Good luck to all and God Bless!!
