My interview was on 9 January 2007 at 0800 in Zagreb, CRO. I had it rescheduled from 14 December 2006 as I did not have enough time to do the medical exam in Zagreb, and collect the papers they required in time.
The embassy is a bit outside the city towards the airport so we took the 268 bus for Velika Gorica from the main bus station at 0710 and arrived there before 0745. The guard first let in people who had the appointment for 0745 and once they were in, the 0800 people were allowed in. I thought all the people for the immigrant visa but it turned out they were there for tourist visas, and I was the only one for immigrant visa.
The guard in the waiting section asked what type of visa I needed and once I told him, he got on the phone and called the local lady. The immigrant visa window opened and the local lady wished me a good day, asked about the originals police an... read complete review

My K1 visa interview in Zagreb,Croatia went great.I had an appointment on Dec,18 2006 at 11 am,embassy scheduled.I was nervous like never before...US consul, the lady, was trully kind to me.Her 1 st question to me was can we speak english?I said yes...We talked for a aproximately 15 minutes about my fiancee, his life and occupation, way we met, engagements, wedding date, she was looking our pics...she had to establish ongoing relationship. All in all,she was nice.In the end,she said:"Everything seems in order with your case miss...there's no reason why your visa shouldn't be issued.Congratulations!"
Because of endless happiness I was jumping in front of the embassy as a freak, but those security guys understood all...
My visa was issued 2 days later and that was it.4 days after I flew to US.

In Zagreb, interviews for K1 visas are scheduled for Tuesdays only, which is great cause that's separate from all other visa applicants and I didn't have to wait at all since there was only me and one other guy waiting for the interview.
The American consul was a very nice lady and the first words she said to me were "Congratulations!" The interview was casual and she was from the same area as my fiance so we talked and laughed about some things she was familiar with. She asked me how we met, and throuhgh our conversation I talked about our visits and his hometown so she didn't ask much more. She wished me luck and sent me to the croatian clerk who was supposed to explain what happens next... so this is where the fun part ends... I have to say that I am still shocked at the behaviour of this total b.... and would love to report her but not sure how I would reach any of her supervisors. She told me a few formalities and then proceeded to tell me about how difficult marrying a fo... read complete review
