Review Topic: K1 Visa

In Zagreb, interviews for K1 visas are scheduled for Tuesdays only, which is great cause that's separate from all other visa applicants and I didn't have to wait at all since there was only me and one other guy waiting for the interview.
The American consul was a very nice lady and the first words she said to me were "Congratulations!" The interview was casual and she was from the same area as my fiance so we talked and laughed about some things she was familiar with. She asked me how we met, and throuhgh our conversation I talked about our visits and his hometown so she didn't ask much more. She wished me luck and sent me to the croatian clerk who was supposed to explain what happens next... so this is where the fun part ends... I have to say that I am still shocked at the behaviour of this total b.... and would love to report her but not sure how I would reach any of her supervisors. She told me a few formalities and then proceeded to tell me about how difficult marrying a foreigner is and what low rate of success of these marriages is and basically that most of K1s granted come back before they even marry and so on and so on.. this lasted for a while. So then I looked at my visa and saw that it had a wrong birth date on it! Of course her first reaction was almost yelling at me that that's what I put down in my visa application, without even looking at it, so when we established that I filled out my stupid application right, she starts stuttering something about it not being her fault and that they scann my passport (which also has the correct DOB of course) and whatever.. At this point she was only concerned with proving to me that she did not make a mistake!!! Like I care, I just wanted it corrected! So all in all, the interview was great, the consul made me feel great but the local clerk was a total nightmare, not only arrogant and rude but also really dumb cause she couldn't understand what I was asking her several times, so the worst combination. I am thrilled that I got my visa approved and that we can start planning our life together but now its been 3 days, and I am supposed to get a corrected visa in my passport delivered to my home. I hope she gets the address right and doesn't lose my passport!
