Finally I can write my review. The travelling is done and I have slept

I couldn't sleep the night before the interview all that much, so I was up super early and was at the consulate by 545 a.m. It was about an 8 minute walk from the hotel I stayed at. I stood there for about half an hour when NikiR showed up (We had our interviews the same day! Yay!). At about 630 more people started to line up, many people with bags etc (Which is something you shouldn't do,obviously from reading on these forums its a big No No). At around 745 the guard unlocked the door and let us in one by one. I went in first and handed over my passport, interview letter, and loomis confirmation to the first lady just inside the door. I then walked up a few stairs and through another set of doors and went through security. Super easy as long as you only have exactly what is asked of you, a folder with your documents in it. After the security check I went through another door ... read complete review

I had a great experience.

If you follow the pictures provided and all the information in the reviews you're pretty much golden. Some people were turned away for bags (although some lady was allowed her purse but she was much older) and even when we left a lady was really angry because she couldn't bring a bag in.

One at a time through the door and through the security. Down the stairs and right to the elevator. Up to the 19th floor, out the elevator, to the left and window 14 A/B. Then you just sit in the waiting room waiting for you number to be called to windows 1-4. I was C2. They called the first 3 in order, then some out of order. Went up to window 2 and a nice lady took my fingerprints and asked for my originals and photos, including the I-864EZ. She gave me a form to read about domestic abuse and my rights.

Sat back down and waited to be called to an interview window (some of which are little rooms and others which are wind... read complete review

Stayed at Traveloge Hotel on 50 Boul Rene-Levesque, a few minutes walk to the consulate. Arrived at the consulate at 0640AM but I was the only person inline so I returned back to my hotel and relax for a few minutes, enjoy the morning coffee and breakfast in the hotel. When I return at 7:30AM the place was almost packed and people started going in. Thankfully many of them are carrying bags, laptops and some don't have the proper paper work with them (loomis etc). I read the details of how they operate and what they need so I was ready, Thanks to VJ, I also know the tricks. I sat close to the elevator so I was the first to get in and the first to get out when it reached the 14th floor. Again Thanks to VJ I went straight to the cashier and ended up getting the famous C-1. After this it was pretty much quick, less than a minute after taking C1, called to the window who checked the paper work for about 5 min including the finger prints. When I was about to sit and wait again I got called t... read complete review

My husband arrived at the consulate around 7:30am. He said he was about the 15th person in line. Luckily for him and unfortunately for those 15 people.....they got turned away. One for having a briefcase and others for not having their paperwork ready for the door (passport, interview appointment letter, and Loomis/DHL confirmation). He said he did notice a booth inside where you can get passport style photos done there (3 for $10)which is good to know. I was sure to give him the specific instructions I have read on here regarding going to the back left of elevator and then when exiting the elevator go to your left and ignore the reception desk right in front of the elevator. My husband said the gentlemen on the elevator instructed them before opening the doors to go directly to the left, window 14. My husband also said there was no reception desk directly in front of the elevator when exiting, so maybe they took that out because of the confusion it caused, who knows, lol. My husband ... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My appointment was scheduled for 10 am, but I decided to leave my hotel around 9:15 or so. I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Europa on Drummond, about a 10-15 minute walk to the consulate. Wen I arrived at the consulate, I told the guard that I was there for a K1 interview, and he let me inside where a lady checked my passport and put a ticket on it. Then through security. I brought a small purse with me just to carry my wallet since I was walking, and a folder with all of my paperwork in it. He asked me to put my folder, purse, and belt in a small wooden basket and ran it through the machine. Everything was good and he then instructed me to go down the stairs and take the elevator to the 19th floor.

On the 19th floor the room was maybe 1/3 full, if that by this time. I went to window 14 and got a ticket. It took probably about 45 minutes before I was called to window 1. She asked for the paperwork one piece at a time, got me to do fingerprints, asked me if I had any qu... read complete review
