This is just my feeling and not legal advice. If they are in the NOA1 Stage of the process and/or NOA2 of the process and Filed for a K-1 Visa meaning not Married. Then, there is no real real reason for Expedite. IF it was a CR-1 and they were married then I think that would apply. The K-1 does not require him to go back to the Philipphines. I understand what thier Attourney is saying. There Engaged and not married. I have an Attourney also and believe if I called her from a hospitol and asked to expedite our petition based on my medical health and a K-1 Petition the answer would be NO. Get better and wait.
I hope He gets better and soon their together. I also feel the Attourney should have told the petitioner/beneficiary this upfront instead of making it wait 60 days.
I hope it all works out.

I just got to see Kadir on the WEBCAM for the first time in 7.5 mos since he's been on AF base in Iraq!!!! He looks a little bit fuller in the face... all that American food I guess. I just couldn't believe my eyes... he's so so handsome.
Really missing each other now more than ever. This is very different from the rest of you who get to see your Askim everyday on cam. Military doesn't allow civie contractors for security purposes. OMG I have never been so so grateful for just those few minutes today.
I am now in la la land....

I remember what it was like. The frustration, the impatience, the concern that I might've missed something out that was needed.
But, here's the rub. Once you (or your fiance(e)) arrive in the US, you/they will miss an equal number of things from home. So, my thoughts to you is to spend the waiting time visiting with friends, family and generally the people that you will miss. Take lots of photos, make special memories and enjoy what you have NOW, because you'll soon be looking back with sadness and loss, instead of missing your fiance(e).
Seriously, life doesn't magically get perfect once you are with your love. It is better to be with them, yes, but you exchange one type of love for another, and that can be equally hard. So, don't take today for granted. Spend it wisely and remember to tell those around you NOW that you love them and value them in your life.

UPDATE:
I just went to check AOS and we cannot have "December 2010 AOS filers' as we'll get confused with those who have filed AOS last Dec.
WE CAN HAVE:
DECEMBERITE FAMILY DIGS: AOS 2011
I don't think we'll lose anybody in the move if we go with "Decemberite Family" and since all of us will file AOS 2011 ... we'll tack that on for clarity.

I think it would only be showing proof of a bad decision.

I've scoped a bunch of the innumerable threads on the Shutdown topic, and the complaints seem to be "I, I, I" versus the long-term impact on 300 million U.S. citizens. Although I understand and sympathize with those whose timeline may be disrupted, I applaud the OP strongly for saying what (probably) many others believe.
