  1. hahhaahhha...come on! lol

Go change your nick Agent smith and come back and post so your wife won't know lol

    lol

ok, fine. i'll give out a few.

she bothers me when we eat. i dont like to talk while i eat, i eat while i eat and talk when im done. she wants to do both together.

haha. My husband used to hate it when I talked to him during dinner too. But now, I gues sometimes we talk and sometimes we don't. There are no rules. But in the beginning....well we were both trying to lay down the law!

  2. Well. It's been almost 6 months for us too. But I don't know what is going on with our case. ALthough the processsing time for our DO is Feb 13, 2005---everyone I know that has gone through there has done so in 4-7 months. We pla on making an INFOPASS appointment sometime next week to see if there's anything up. I mean the online status for EAD still syas that it is taking 30-90 days to process that kind of case even though we got our EAD in November!

Hopefully we'll both hear something soon!

  3. I don'tthink getting a birth certificate wil be a problem. I'll ask my husband when I get home from work. But when my husband needed his to go to South Africa--i think he just went to whoever issues them--told them he was born on a certain day and named the city and state. Nigeria isn't America--its lots easier to get these kind of documents.

  4. Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking of trying vonage. Its $.28 a minute to cell phones in Nigeria, but I we have not been happy with cheap phone cards and the connection--except for MCI--but that comes out to be like $.72 a minute. i'll let you know how it goes. If vonage works--then we can reduce the regular phone bill too--can you belive its $38 a month just to make local calls here in Hawaii! Geesh.

    Nicole C. Mullens and

    Petra

    My 5 favorite Christian artists.

I think I'm a bit old school. And I love some of my husband's Africa worship.

OH my gosh!!!!!! I hardly ever meet people outside my lil world who even know about The Violet Burning!!! That's so awesome....:D:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Guess what?!! they are playing a concert at our church this Sunday night, I LOVE them!!! They played at our church about a year ago, and then last month the singer Michael Pritzl was in town doing an acoustic tour and was at our church. Our church is really small, but they still come! Too bad you live incredibly far from here! (like on the opposite side of the USA)

That's awesome! I haven't really kept up with them--only 2 of their albums (I think its their first two. But I still isten to them! And would love to see them. I have fond memories of me and my sister dancing around the house to them. espcially the actual violet burning song. "...If I was a dancer I'd dance with you.."

  6. Well, as of one week ago today, the only debt we have is our car payment! I got through college debt free. I don't own a credit card--but am thinking of getting one to boost my credit history so we have better chances of getting a good mortgage rate. I had some medical debt--a bad emergency room situation when I was in between insurances and some money i borrowed from a friend to finish up the process of getting my so here and into our own apartment. But its all paid off!

  7. We spent 1 week in Vegas after our wedding--and then one week where we live--in Hawaii. (this was our rest week to get us ready to go back to the grind. In fact, I always leave a week of my vacation just to rest--or else you are so busy you burn out. In my opinion, I think honeymoon's are more important than having a big fancy wedding. We spent almost as much on our honeymoon as our wedding. I had the wedding of my dreams and the honeymooon of my dreams and budget. I mean--your honeymoon is how you start your life off together as a married couple. And I personally, am really thanksful for the wonderful memories and the time to just be a newlywed! You have to make time for vacation. And the money. Or else its just all work and no play. As you might be able to tell--I'm in need of a mini-break!

  8. Adjusting.... it takes time. For the USC as well. Marraige is just a huge adjustment. At least for me. Finances. I find that envelope budgeting works well. My husband at first didn't believe me twhen I told him the amount we spent per month on groceries. (this is Hawaii--where a gallon of milk costs $7.00) So I put the money in an envelope and used it whenever we bought food and kept the receipts. We have two joint accounts--but one is primarily mine and the other is his. But we share all the money we make. Its our family and this works for us.

  9. I bought my wedding dress and veil off of ebay---SO CHEAP! and brand new. $85 for the dress, $4 for the veil. I like bargain hunting. But I haven't bought anything since.

  11. Good Day to Everyone!

I'm looking at switiching to a computer VOIP to call cell phones in Nigeria. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations on price and clarity. Currently we use the land-line and phone cards--but was wondering if there's a better way. We tried cell phone and phone cards to the Nigeria cell ohones but the clarity wasn't very good and it was hard to connect. So we got the land line just to be able to communicate better--and a worthy expense I think. But if there's another way, I'd like to investigate it.

    Thanks.

    Kia

  13. I personally know 2 women who were raped and as a result became pregnant. One chose to keep her child. The other chose to give the child up for adoption. Both women are extremely happy with their choices and with their families. In fact the one who chose to keep her child was in my college speech class. She gave her persuasive speech on pro-life. And ended with. "I don't think abortion should ever happen--even with a rape. I was raped 2 years ago. And this is my son." She showed us his picture. Pretty powerful and nobody could argue against her.

  14. Its been kind of slow in here. I need some good reading during the slow times at work!

We just celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary. I'm so very blessed to have my husband by my side. He sure is a solid rock in my life.

We got our EAD in the end of November. Haven't heard ANYTHING from our AOS since October 1st. I'm wondering what's up since most people who filed at my same time either have their interview or were transferred to California. But no real complaints since I'm here with my husband and for alot of you on this forum--that's not an easy task to acheive.

So where's everyone at with their process or adjusting?

    Kia
