My girl doesn’t like to take medicine either. Even when she’s sick with the flu….That’s why I’m asking what type of products they’re ok with using once here. She’s willing to try some American products so I sent her a bunch of DayQuil gel caps, Vick vapor rub, Airborne and such to prepare for the winter.

In my work cubicle, I have a mini bar of meds… I’m prepared for everything since people like to come in sick

For the fake stuff, check out the Gillette Mach3 razors on Ebay. They’re all Chinese fakes. Bluetooth headsets are another common one. They both look spot on that people never know they’re getting fakes.

Are they fond of any western meds? Be careful of the cheap Russian meds here, some of it could be knockoffs.

We have a large Asian population here. It's common for the Chinese stores in the states to sell watered down stuff or outright fakes of the imported stuff. I'm sure the Russkies do the same.

I usually throw in a bunch of over the counter cold medicine and other stuff from the phramacy isle. That's what she ask for. For those with wives here, what types of meds do they like that they didn't have back home? Airborne is one of her favs.

well after 24 years of working at the post office I dont recall ever collecting customs duties for a package.

Any idea on why we can't pay for postage online with USPS (Click-N-Ship) for RU, UA, BY?

It looks like all the other countries, you can make the labels and pay for postage online while these FSU countries, all you can do is make the customs form. USPS.com doesn't even let me save a Russian address in the address book. I downloaded and use USPS's Shipping Assistant free software so I can at least save an address put more than 5-6 items in the contents box.

I've sent 6 packages during the past 3 years to the same person. The first box was addressed to her apartment and never made its way to the apartment. After that, all stuff were sent to her office, blocks from the Kremlin.

Express Mail Service is more expensive by $20-30 but its worth it for the piece of mind plus getting there in about a week. It took me 4 boxes to realize I shouldn't trust Priority service

(2) 8 days each

Also, my dumb FSU bunny sent me a box and listed the true value, $700 Am I going to get taxed here? All other boxes she has sent, has been valued around $100. She didn't realize there might be tax implications

This might sound harsh but tell her to suck it up and man up. She needs to assimilate if she is really to going to enjoy it here. If her heart is truely stuck in PI, thats where she needs to be.

Get her out of the house by donating her time at a Goodwill, soup kitchen or something. So she gets to interact with people and learn things about normal folks here.

But also buy a Zojirushi rice cooker

You'll use it everyday. If you have 2 people, buy a 3-5 cup model.

Don't forget to pack some coins in her pocket when you see her off. Let her go through extra screening at the airport

Something sounds fishy. Look at some of the recent stories. They've all sent the girls packing. One guy, bought the ticket the same day or next.

Also change your bank account number or move to another bank all together. I knew someone who had a packet like yours, they lost over 10k. The other person had all of his info like yours and his bank account was drained.

I don't know how they managed to drain his bank account but they did.

You need to familiarize yourself with ID theft.

Get a free annual credit report. Just google "free credit report". You get 1 a year.

Also lock your credit for free.

You'll have to go to the websites or call: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion and tell them to put fraud alerts. Then you can also get "credit freeze" from them.

Also get a police report. Yeah yeah, sounds like a pain but do it.

So when you have credit collectors coming after you, you have a police report and they wont bug you while you are at work.

Do it! Don't slack off. You'll suffer if you think no harm was done and slack off.

The next steps are getting married, have your husband pay for a new house for your parents in PI, pay for your nieces private schooling, business for sister, etc. I'm joking

Its time to cut your loses and move on. There is nothing to discuss with her anymore. You are not her lover, she has a boyfriend back home she loves.

Buy that 1 way ticket ASAP and get her out of your house before she ruins anything or steals anything.

Your head has probably been throbbing, body numb from the events and probably can't think straight. Listen to all of the advice here and start over.

You just can't stop paying. Its between him and the bank, not you. When the owner tells you to leave, then you leave. Whether the owners will be the bank or the guy himself.
