  1. How much support does the fiancee require?

I wouldn't be able to support my girl. She lives in Moscow and has an $800 apt, drives a late model car, weekly salon visits, etc

Luckily, mine has a well paying job and has been fending for herself since she was 18. I haven't sent a dime nor was asked to. I'm sure she would gladly take any and all if offered

  2. I wonder if the govt has a free pass to see even private FB pages....I wouldn't be surprised.

Here is what they can do with cell phones. Check out the audio the Feds can pull from cellphone conversations. The clips are in the middle of the article.

The Feds could probably hear the conversation better than the two actually in the converstion. Now that Microsoft will own Skype, who knows what will be in store.

  3. I feel bad for those guys getting scammed...but then again if someone has internet they have access to "google" and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to read up on what to look out for.

The ones being scammed in these cases are probably not playing with a full deck in the first place  Thats why I kind of feel bad for them. I think most Americans are already cautious of FSU scams. Thats why you can see a lot of scamming going on in other regional sections of this board

Someone is blantly asking about how much money should they be receiving during the waiting process

  4. So you picked an English name. I just wanted to see what people do, English or RUB name.

We would do Russian names but we are both in agreement to live childless  Her mother has been yearning to be a Babushka. She says to just have one and she'll take it care of it full time

  5. Does UA not have import duties?

    This is for RU:

Items containing articles admitted as imports are delivered to addressees subject to payment of customs duties at the rate of 30% of the cost of the articles:

If the cost of the contents is between 101 USD and 1,000 USD.

If the quantity of articles imported exceeds three times the limit according to the internal standards set.

So pretty much you can send under $100 USD worth of stuff to RU without them getting taxed. There is no such verbage for UA. The word duties is not even mentioned on the UA or Belarus guide on USPS.com.

  6. For?

Well, the guy is uncertain about meeting the requirements. Might be better off if he speaks to people who handle these types of cases daily.

He could go through all of the steps, pay the fees and find it, its all a waste of time. Or they could tell him, he has nothing to worry about and cause him less stress worrying.

  7. Gamburgers ( Russian for "hamburgers")

Gamburgers....So this is why my girl always pronounces hamburgers funny  I always tell her to just say "burgers" instead.

My wife loves my Gamborgers......nice ground chuck, mix in a package of Lipton Onion Soup mix.

Make large thick patties, grill properly, serve on large bun with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and slice of home-grown tomatoe.

We need a cook off :P I make some mean gamburgers myself. I'll grind some sirloin or tri tip in my food processor (don't trust supermarket ground beef), add some spices (salt, pepper, paparika, brown sugar), weigh out 6 to 8 oz worth of meat on a digital scale, use my burger press to form the patties and fire it on my propane grill.

American cheese, mayo and onions are all that I add after. Grilled bun is from the bread I bake in my bread machine. So its more like a patty melt.
