You will have to learn to trade rice for mashed potatoes or bread.. My husband and I try to compromise.. We take turns with between the three lol.. But aside from that we agree on most meat stuff.. he likes anything with chicken so I try to get creative with it like sometimes its fried or adobo or afritada or grilled.. you get my point. He also likes beef steak and beef salpicao.. I am proud to say that I have been here for 3 months and I still have not set foot in McDonalds..

Not entirely sure what the point of this post is.. but just wanted to add my 2 cents..
My hubby and I did not meet online, and yes we had what most people could consider a courtship because we were able to spend a considerable amount of time together before we decided to get married.. Having said that, I don't think our relationship is any better than those who met online, because people can find love in the strangest ways. My parents met on a plane and had a whirlwind courtship, and they have been married over 30 years.
And just because we had ample of time to get to know each other before tying the knot doesn't mean I am devoid of the feeling of homesickness. It's perfectly normal to feel homesick especially if you were/are very close to your family. And being bored.. you better believe your wife will be bored while she is waiting for her green card because if there's one thing k1 applicants should know beforehand.. its that the wait for the greencard is also a long process, and staying home while your hubby works can be very boring especially if you are not used to it. Before I moved here, I was working in Shanghai so I was always busy and its such an accessible place where you can take the subway to any place, but now I need a car to move around, and I can't work without an EAD etc etc..
Be prepared for random bouts of homesickness, and boredom.. I experience it from time to time, but then again I look at my hubby and then I realize it's all worth it. The question is.. are you worth it too?

I think it will only get worse once he gets the green card. I wish you luck and I hope you make the right decision. The most important thing here is your safety and I do think it is wise to invite someone to come stay with you and I think if you decide to attend the interview, be honest and tell the truth. Don't show any joint stuff, tell them you did not have sex etc.. I doubt it will be approved?? You are still legally married to him even if you did not consummate it, but it can be grounds for annulment or divorce. I wish you all the best, and please update us. It just doesn't look good that you start off your post with "Since I already got my GC" because to me it meant that was all you wanted.
If you divorce, you will need to prove that you entered the marriage in good faith when you file for ROC

Maybe add another $30 for CFO, and then hotel/cab expenses when traveling for medical, interview and CFO. To top it off, the plane fare. And then when she gets to the US, there's the wedding, the civil surgeon and AOS, report of marriage to the Phil consulate.. lol!
The road to true love is truly expensive, but worth it!

In our case he paid for the initial k1 fee, and I paid for my visa and medical and AOS, only because I was earning enough back then. But he offered to pay for all my grad school app expenses. Lucky for me I can travel for free. And now that I am here in immigration limbo waiting for my GC, he is the breadwinner. We are young and we don't have much yet, so we save every penny each couple has a different situation, so don't be afraid to talk to him about it. The visa fees are expensive but paying for it is the only way you guys can be together so I don't think he would mind God bless and goodluck!! @
Kish is correct. Visa and medical are separate fees.

Do you mean your husband? Remember you need to be married to file for AOS!

Legal Alien Allowed to Work

There is no temporary work permit that you get from the airport. Your fiance will need to apply for EAD. Most people apply for EAD together with the AOS because it comes with the fee. He is allowed to apply for EAD upon arrival but it will only be valid until his i-94 is valid, and it will take about 2 months to process, so it is pretty useless. To make the long story short, k1 filers pretty much cannot work until you file for AOS and receive your EAD.
